2. before the Internet
Before the creation of the Internet,
the only way to communicate
digitally was by means of the
telegraph. The telegraph was
invented in 1840, it emitted
electrical signals that traveled by
cables connected between a
source and a destination. He used
Morse code to interpret information.
3. In 1969 the ancestor of the Internet was
born and it did so as a brief connection
between the University of California
and the Stanford Research Institute. At
this time nobody spoke of the Internet
or web connection but of Arpanet, a
creation of the United States
Department of Defense.
The principle was a defense project but
soon turned to communicative
purposes until almost 10 years later, in
1978, the first non-military network was
created so that universities could
communicate with each other.
4. From this moment, we attended the decade of 'the first',
that is, the first virus, the first emoticon, the first personal
computer, the first search engine ... Until finally in 1995
Internet Explorer appears..

6. The new millennium brought many advances that
shaped the previous panorama to which we know
today. This was the decade of the great
releases: Wikipedia (2001), iTunes, MySpace, Skype
(2003), Facebook (2004) Google Chrome (2008)
7. The history of the internet is a story about evolution
and progress. The story of how something that was
born in an experiment for the defense of a country
ended up becoming a way of life for millions of
people

9. THE WORD: The word Internet has its origin in
two other words: INTERnational and NETwork.
10. DEFINITION: The Internet is a large network of
computers worldwide, which can exchange
information between them. They can communicate
because they are linked through telephone
connections, cable, waves or other technology and
thanks to the use of a common language or protocol
TCP / IP, which are standards that tell us how to
travel the data by network.
THE WORD: The word Internet has its origin in
two other words: INTERnational and NETwork.
11. When your computer connects to the internet, it connects with a
special server type provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP).
The job of this "ISP Server" is to establish a link between your
browser and the rest of the Internet. A single ISP server handles the
Internet connections of many individual browsers, so there may be
thousands of people connected to the same ISP server that you are
currently connected to.
12. I’ll explain it easier
And your friend has an other PC
And connect them for excange information
YOU HAVE CREATED A NETWORK
You have a PC
13. AND MANY OF THESE NETWORKS MAKE THE INTERNET
The computers involved in this large network are divided into two types
-- SERVERS
-- BROWSERS
The SERVERS are the ones that the internet providers
have and this is where most of the information is stored .
In addition, the different servers are interconnected so
that the information is made available to the general
public.
The BROWSERS are the ones that people use to
access the World Wide Web from any standard
computer. In other words, any computer connected is a
browser
14. The process for you to see a web page on your pc is as
follows:
1
You write a URL in
the address bar
Or you search
something in your
search engine.
Or click on a
hyperlink
16. 3
Your server (the ISP) looks in a large
database where all the servers are
connected and locates who has saved the
page when you are looking (the HOST).
Then ask the host to lend it so he
can show it to you.
17. 4 The HOST, or remote server, lends that
page to your ISP.
18. And finally your server sends the page to
your browser and it shows it on your
screen.
