In 1915, the Otoman Empire
(Nowadays Turkey) tried to
exterminate Armenia, a small country
besides to Turkey, killing between 1.5
millions to even 2 millions of
Armenians. The Otoman Empire killed
them because they religion’s beliefs
were differents to them.
3. Where is it commemorated?
All around the world mostly. After
the genocide a lot of people tried to
escape from the country. Most of
them arrived at USA, but other
ones arrived to Europe, Asia and
even South America. Usually,
armenians go to the streets to get
recognition because a lot of
countries doesn’t recognize this
genocide.

Armenians try their best to get
recognition to all the people that got
massacred in 1915. The last country that
recognize this genocide was USA. Joe
Biden finally recognize this genocide after
more than a century
5. What do people do?
People usually light candles around the statue commemorating the Armenian
genocide and protest for others to accept it.

Armenians became the main
target of the Turkish authorities,
and for this reason it was decided
to launch a mass extermination
campaign. In April 1915, the
arrest and murder of more than
250 Armenian intellectuals and
leaders was ordered. Thus began
a period of atrocities that lasted
eight years.

cheerful culture, with a lot of dances
and dresses with beatifull terminations.

In Chile, the armenians go out and, like other
countries, they commemorate they people. Chile
recognize this genocide, so the armenians that
live here don’t protest to get recognition.
14. The actual situation in Armenia
Nowadays, Armenia hasn’t achieved
the peace that they always wanted.
The last year they had a war
against Azerbaiyan. This country
wanted some lands but Armenia
with Artsaj (a small country besides
to Armenia) tried to defend their
lands
