2. Before my race, I must stretch to
make sure I do not hurt my
muscles
3. I make sure my sneakers are tied
tight so they will not come untied
during the race
4. I ask my coach what lane I am in
and make sure to line up in the
right one when it is time for my race
5. When the referee yells “Go!” I make
sure to start running fast and not run
into others on the track
6. When the race is ending, I make sure
to run fast through the finish line and
keep a smile on my face! I am not sad
if I do not win because I tried my best
7. After my race, I do a short cool-down
run to relax my muscles and
congratulate those around me for a
great race
