It is with great pleasure that I am recommending you to the Board of Education for
tenure.
You are the first full-time HR person who has focused on human resources singularly
during my tenure in Roslyn. During that time, I have witnessed your persistence to
accept only the best from our employees. This has yielded numerous retirements and
resignations from individuals who had not been performing adequately. Those efforts
have made a huge difference in strengthening our organization. Additionally, I believe
your expertise in working in less fortunate districts has brought a keen eye to the Roslyn
community, allowing us to question practices that have otherwise gone unnoticed. This
different view also has gone a long way in making the organization stronger and one
that allows us to operate far more efficiently.
As a colleague you are a gentleman at all times, exercising fairness and reason to
decisions that you make. Your demeanor in dealing with people and your calm
temperament is perfect in your position of Assistant to the Superintendent for Human
Resources
It is without hesitation that I am recommending your tenure.
I will be recommending you for tenure at the April 24, 2014 meeting of the Board of
Education at which time a reception will be held in your honor. We encourage you to
share this special evening with your family and/or special friends. The granting of
tenure will begin at 8:00 PM in the Board Room at Roslyn High School.
