I am looking for new challenges in system implementation, especially those using machine learning,
data aggregation, and fast custom algorithms. I have implemented software in Python, Swift, and
Javascript as well as C and C++. I enjoy data analysis and statistics. I am ready to tackle any
software engineering challenge. I work well alone or as part of a small team.
Education
2014–2016 B.S. Computer & Information Science, University of Oregon, Eugene.
3.85 GPA, Cum Laude and International Computer Science Honor Society
Interests
Data analysis, statistics, applied mathematics
Networks and Network Security
Work Experience
2014–2016 Grader, University of Oregon.
Upper level programming languages class and mid-level Python classes. Evaluated programming
assignments and written assignments, and gave feedback to the students while reporting any
trends to the professor.
2015 Research Assistant, Oregon Network Research Group.
Software for mapping computer networks using Geographic Information System software (GIS);
wrote software to visually display network data in QGIS.
2011–2015 QA and Software Engineer, FaceIt Company.
Venture-funded iOS App for improving and displaying portraits; current venture funding is
in remission. Kept abreast of internal imaging algorithm functionality and conceptual bugs,
manually seeking out images that challenged suspected edge cases of algorithms or might
challenge unknown edge cases. Wrote some algorithm code, requiring understanding but not
production coding of upper layers in Application code.
Skills
Fluent Python.
Graded lower division Python 3 classes, coursework, and personal projects.
Near fluent C, C++.
Large amounts of coursework written in C or C++, though the C++ was often "C with STL".
Some
experience
Miscellaneous languages.
Swift, MySQL, Haskell, Standard ML, Objective-C, x86 assembly, in various small homework
assignments or scripts.
