General: My character is multi-disciplined in all aspects of work and living abroad having completed
over 30 years in different countries. The last 20 years of which were in Saudi Arabia/ Bahrain/ Qatar.
I welcome the opportunity to explore new career fields.
In addition to working in the UK I have served in the following countries: Doha (7.5 years), Finland (1
year), Kuwait (3 mths), Germany (6 years), Italy (3 Years), Holland (1 Year), Sweden (1 Year),
Bahrain (1 year) and Saudi (10.5 Years).
After the L3 Link contract with Qatar Airways finalised I have taken the time off to organise home life.
Now I am ready to return to the fold and seek new opportunities and challenges.

Jan 2008 – March 2015: (7.5 years) On contract for L3 Link Training & Simulation UK
(formally Thales) as Site Maintenance Manager responsible for the maintainability of the
A320FFS x 2, A330FFS, B787FFS and B777FFS simulators (all Level D certification) and
their respective TFST’s based in Doha, Qatar, for the Qatar Airways SLA contract.
Managing a site team consisting of 14 foreign staff.
• Achieving availability standards of 99.5% on all devices.
• Ensuring all QTG’s were run as scheduled
• Daily management of the maintenance team
• Daily management of Health and Safety with respect to maintenance activities
• Ensuring adherence to the maintenance elements of the Quality Plan including all local
processes and procedures

relocating a Full Flight Simulator (RSAF Tornado IDS) within Saudi Arabia. (Khamis Mushait to
Dhahran).
Additionally assisting Product Dept with build of Qatar Airways B777 based on Thales C2000x
architecture.
This involved commissioning and test.
2003 – 2006 (Sept) ( 3 years) BAE Systems (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia)
Simulator Superintendent (POC)
Role: Senior Superintendent for TDMF (Training Devices Maintenance Flight) for all Tornado Aircraft
Training aids. Appointed P.O.C. (Point of Contact), for all matters relating to the Tornado simulators
and training aids.
• Attend regular HOD’s (head of dept) meetings and other departmental functions.
• Brief Tornado ADV, IDS and Training Aids staff.
• Duties include monitoring of all staff regarding; vacations, timekeeping, absenteeism,
grievances and disciplinary matters, etc. This includes out of work hours. More responsibilities
have been passed down to management (self) as HR dept has become a hub based in
Riyadh. Therefore first point of call is the Superintendent for all HR issues.
1979 – 2003 ( 24 years) Thales Training & Simulation (formally Thomson –
Singer Link-Miles)
Principle Field Service Engineer
As a Principle Field Service Engineer for Thales Training & Simulation (formally Thomson-CSF) my
duties included commissioning, maintaining and On-The-Job training to customer maintenance
personnel, on simulation equipment. Predominantly Full Flight Simulators, but also Ground and Marine
based i.e. Submarines, Fighting vehicles, etc.
Subcontracted to British Aerospace (BAe Systems) at The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) ADV
Tornado Full Mission Simulator (Al-Yamamah project) Dhahran, duties consist of:
Role as BAe Supervisor responsible for shift and maintenance planning as well as other duties
concerning supply, security and safety.
Primary maintenance/OJT training on the IMAGE 3T Visual System with secondary duties
covering same on Radar, Flight, Avionic systems.
Site manager POC for Thales parent company holding site float and organising lease cars for
Thales team. Responsible for collating man hours and communications to/from Thales UK.
Training of RSAF technicians including initiating a training package to RSAF requirements on
the Visual System. This included classroom, OJT and examinations. Coordinated with the BAe
base training centre.
Shift leader on AAC Lynx Mk 7 helicopter, Detmold, Germany.

Design Engineer
Responsibilities included the design and manufacture of custom fire detection and audio equipment.
Principle customer installations were the off-shore oil rig EKOFISK, airport s NIAROBI, KUWAIT, lock
monitoring for Panama Canal, etc. Equipment had to pass strict tropicalisation standards.
Typical audio designs included airport paging/tannoy systems to include privacy functions.
Other systems such as for EKOFISK comprised of private room Radio/TV/Intercom facilities as well as
platform evacuation alarms. Tropicalised Panama Canal lock control monitoring systems.
Additionally responsible for the CMOS test department that. This section specialised in low power
remote monitoring equipment.
