Originating from Miami, Florida and a graduate of Northwood University,
Eddie Prosser and his wife Kirsten first opened OnQueStyle in 2009. His
expertise was originally in business and managing new car agencies while
Kirsten had been working as a fashion stylist for ten years. They both realized
her clients needed an exit strategy to sell or consign items that were no longer
needed. From there, that concept grew into not only a multi-million dollar idea,
but also the largest consignment store in Southern California. In just five years,
he has averaged a growth rate of 60 percent year over year and tripled his staff.
He plans to open a San Diego and Los Angeles store within eighteen months.

When you are a bride, it is all about location, location, location. But, when you
are flower girl, it is all about the dress, the dress, the dress (and not having a
meltdown!) Flower girls should always feel comfortable and confident during
the bride’s special day in order to keep everyone happy. Children are especially
sensitive when things go awry so keeping everyone pleased is super important.
Mom, it’s your job to remind your daughter her role on this day. Remind her of
her special flower girl duties and make sure she fully understands her roll at
this event. And it is equally important to prevent your little bundle of joy from
melting down. Children often get scared walking down that big aisle just like
the bride can. Soparents should encourage their little flower girls that it only
looks scary and won’t feel scary. By the time they get to the end, many will
forget the fears they once had. Many of us have been flower girl’s ourselves,
some of us had meltdowns, others just dumped the flowers in one big heap,
regardless, sympathize with your little one and don’t force her to go down
alone. The buddy system always works!
Making sure your little angel feels beautiful is another way to boost her
confidence. Many little girls will appreciate some lip-‐gloss or blush! Rosy
cherub cheeks can be really precious on a little girl and make her feel like she is
wearing big girl makeup. If it is in the budget, a professional hairstyle is
something that always makes little girls feel extra special. She will understand
that this a big day and an important one to the bride. Her little flower girls dress
should also be something that she helps pick out. When your daughter is a part
of the entire wedding process, she will feel an extra boost of confidence
knowing that she helped create this special day.
Flower girls dresses are often itchy, hot, and uncomfortable. Wearing
something like that will definitely evoke a party pooper. Remember that if it is
summer, which it will be soon, keeping your princess cool is key! Soft fabrics
and fun colors are extremely important when picking out the right dress. And
do not force your little ones to wear something they will hate. Let your child
have a say! She will tell you if she likes the dress or not. Children can be as
picky as adults, so keeping calm is essential. And remember, it is a wedding
and she is a flower girl so keeping with the bride’s wishes is often an added
stressor. There are so many people you need to
keep happy!
The best piece of advice I can give is to keep calm and just go with the flow.
You never know what will happen when children are involved and you just
have to prepare for the worst. Not everyone will be as happy as the bride on her
4. big day, so just put a smile on your face (and your child’s) and keep reminding
everyone how beautiful they look!

The best way to live like a celebrity for the day is to hotel hop around Los
Angeles. The City of Angels features some of the best hotels in the country as
well as the most indulgent spa treatments and restaurants. Girls, I must suggest
starting your LA adventure at the W Hotel Westwood Bliss Spa. Splurge on the
Fully Loaded Facial just like an A-‐List celeb might. Next, you’ll want to head
down Wilshire Boulevard to check in at the recently opened Montage Beverly
Hills. Hopefully by now, you’re rested enough to head to dinner at The Bazaar
inside of the new SLS hotel. Celebrity chef Jose Andres cooks up surprises at
every turn. Remember to ask the Montage to drive you in one of their signature
Maybach’s. The SLS may only be a hop, skip and a jump away, but remember
darlings no one walks in LA.
