Lunches will be used as opportunities for you to work with your team on developing your team’s response.
Each team must review all available information provided, plus any additional research they wish to conduct as a team to obtain a full understanding of Franklin County’s economic climate and current situation.
Each team is then asked to answer and present their responses to the following four questions:
1. What additional SWOT should be added or considered as part of the Comprehensive Strategy?
2. Draft a revised vision statement for the County
3. What additional economic development goal(s) should be considered for the existing plan?
4. Based on your experiences, what you learned in the BEDC or additional research your team conducted, what additional initiatives should be considered for each of the existing and/or new goals your team developed?
Utilize what you learn from the speakers, your own experience and any other resources to respond to the questions. It is anticipated that each team will discuss alternatives and decide on a group response.
Each team will provide a 15 minute presentation summarizing your responses to the four above questions on the final day of the class.
