This weekly report summarizes the progress of student Chatchawan Moonta and their engineering team. This week, Chatchawan learned about power supplies by studying the circuit of an electric kettle and researching a constant voltage power supply circuit. The power supply circuit uses a Link Switch chip to convert 220V AC to 12V DC and provides over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection. Next week, Chatchawan will continue learning about their circuit design and plans to finish building and testing it.

This week I learn about power supply which is part responsible by me. I learn from eletric kettle
Toshiba’s power supply circuit. Then I search Constant Voltage Power Supply Using Link Switch-TN
LNK 306 this circuit has voltage input 220V ac, 15-20A and output 12V dc, 225 mA. LNK 306 is
Switcher converter Ic which converts wide range high voltage Dc to Dc low voltage. Within Ic Include
Oscillator, feedback input circuit, 5.8 V Regulator, BYPASS Pin Under-Voltage, Over-Temperature
Protection, Current Limit, Auto-Restart , Input stage comprises Resistor RF1 is a flame proof, D3 and D4
are rectifiers and have Differential mode noise attenuation. The power processing stage has main device is
LNK304 diode D1, output choke L1 output capacitorC2 that is Buck Converter.
