Instructions
You are required to undertake an assessment in the Plaster practical area of Bruce campus CIT.
You will be required to complete the practical task in a nominated space of the plastering area. Prior to
beginning you will complete a JSA, and a Toolbox talk, and you must be actively involved in both. You
need to read the below instructions and plan how to undertake the task to complete in your booth.
You are required to complete the following tasks in your allocated area.
TASK 1
Construct and install a straight bulkhead out of timber or steel.
2 meters in length x 300mm height x 300mm depth
TASK 2
Construct and install a curved bulkhead out of timber or steel.
2 meters in length x 300mm height x 200mm depth
TASK 3
Install pre-manufactured bulkhead.
2 meters in length x 300mm height x 300mm depth
The following steps must be included for each bulkhead.
Obtains plans and specifications.
Mark out bulkhead layout on to walls and ceiling.
Calculate materials required.
Assemble bulkhead to plan.
Ensure bulkhead is square and plumb and level.
Check completed bulkhead for missed fixings.
Clean work area.
Return tools and equipment to storeroom.
Recycle or store left over materials.
Take photos of finished bulkhead.

Assessment Conditions
This assessment is going to be completed in the Plaster area of CIT and within 8hrs (1 Day). You are not
allowed to use your phone during your assessment; however, you are allowed to take photos on
completion of the task.
Full PPE is required to be selected and worn correctly during the assessment.
This is an individual open book assessment.
If at any time you are deemed to be unsafe the assessment will be stopped, and this will be counted as
your first attempt

Attempts
You may have at least two (2) attempts for this assessment.
If your first attempt is not successful, your teacher will discuss your results with you and will arrange
a second attempt.
If your second attempt is not successful, you may be required to re-enrol in this unit.
