![MEXICAN ROUND BRAID<br />Amount of lace required: Nine times the distance around the project.<br />Tools needed: a lacing needle and fid, pliers, and a lacing chisel.<br />Hole spacing: Use a lacing chisel for appropriate size of lace and a normal distance from the edge. The wider the spacing of the holes, or the further distance in from the edge, the braid opens up and becomes wider. Keep in mind that you will be going into every hole twice.<br />406717524130<br />Normally you would start in the third hole from between layers in the project. If you are working on a single layer or if you are not going to join the two ends, leave enough tail to go backwards to make the braid look more completed at the end where you start the Mexican Round Braid. <br />31750230505<br />Come over the top into hole 1.<br />1988185233680<br /> Come over the top into the 4th hole.<br />-2857517145Come over the top into hole 2.<br />3990975-1905028575-19050On back side, go under the lace coming out of hole 3 then over the top and into hole 5. <br />3209925133985<br />Come over the top and go over the first lace and under the piece of lace going into hole 4. <br />Insert needle into hole 3. On the back side, go under the lace next to that hole and go over the next, over the top and into hole 6.
