A German U-31 submarine from World War 2 was discovered off the coast of England in 2012 by wind farm developers using sonar. It took 4 years to identify the submarine due to poor sea conditions. The submarine is believed to have been sunk by a mine with its full crew of 35 men. It will remain on the seabed as the final resting place for the crew, but officials hope to contact any surviving relatives of those who served on the submarine.
