The Importance of Music in Life Essay
The Importance of Music in Life Music is an important component for all people to posses in their lives. A child should be introduced to music at a
very young age. The introduction of every type of music from classical all the way to modern rock is important. This gives a child the ability to form
their own opinion to what they might like the best. Classical music can teach a child every aspect of music including, harmony, themes, dynamics,
polymeters, and polyrhythms. These are the components that are scarce in modern music today. The three major components of variation are melody,
rhythm, and meter. Variation is an important key to teach a child so that they understand the there are many different ways to approach music and

Modest Petrovich
Mussorgsky composed a piece, ?Promenade, from pictures of an exhibition? solely around an art exhibition. This is a dark and gloomy symphony that
represents a marching soldier and paints a vivid picture of an army.
Another composer using imagery was Aram Khachaturian, he composed a work called ?Sabre Dance?. This is an extremely energetic powerful piece
that paints a definite picture of a chase and catch situation. This can be found in many cartoons today which allows a child to relate the classical music
to a humorous situation. The piece is filled with energy and caused my seven year old brother to dance and run around the room.
He enjoyed this piece the most and said it reminded him of a Tom and
Jerry cartoon.. A modern classical composer, Steve Reich wrote
?Different Trains?, this is a classic example of sensory imagery. The composer uses many counts of ostinato, tempo, and meter changes to portray the
sounds of different trains in different cities. The sampled sounds paint a colorful picture and make the piece very interesting and unique. The originality
yet classical makeup attracts children and adults to imagine moving trains. Dynamics, softness and loudness in music, is another important part of
musical composition. Franz Joseph
Haydn wrote ?The Surprise Symphony? that developed a variation in the dynamic level.

The Importance Of Music In My Life
If I had a table that held objects that symbolized my life, on that table I would for sure have a music sheet, a plane, and a car. These objects may
seem kind of strange and may have seemed insignificant to me before I had to write this essay, but I now realize that they do in fact relate and
symbolize an aspect of my life. Whether it be how music is an important part of my life or how my sister moved away to another country, and early
memories of round–tripping with my family, I will explain to you how these things are important to me.
I am proud to say that I've been in the school band for most of my school career, (since fifth grade to be exact) although others may be embarrassed
by the fact that they were even in band. It has brought me many fun memories that I will be able to cherish and will have a spot in my heart. First
off, I have an amazing band teacher that honestly does love the fact that we are in his band and takes the time to talk to us and build friendships.
Our band teachers took us to an amazing trip to Disneyland my freshman year in high school, where we bonded with upperclassmen and really had a
good time. Not only have I enjoyed cool trips, pep band, and learning to read music and play the clarinet, but I have also enjoyed the fact of building
friendship and being close to everyone that is a part of it. Sheet music to me also represents what I may want to have a future career in and the fact that
I would like to learn how to play other instruments,

How Music Has Influenced Our Lives Essay
Mid Term Essay Sometimes in life people grieve. People feel all kinds of emotions. Music is almost an emotion itself. In my perspective music can
be an escape, for however long you desire. Music has been call "a way of life" for many human beings. Somehow, it has made a large influence on the
world. I can think of many instances where music has influenced my life. Music effects our everyday lives and can almost be an incomprehensive
predicament. Music today is powerful and has a lot more meaning than just sounds and words. Music is so powerful that it has the power to
manipulate and influence individuals in a positive or negative way. There is so much meaning behind music the lyrics nowadays. Music can tell an
artist life story, things they have been through, and even their opinion on certain views. The most powerful function of music, however, is its ability to
express our emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Music has been so important to me, I would venture to say that without it, I would not be alive. As
someone diagnosed with bi–polar disorder, or more commonly known as manic depression, I have been prone to very wide and potentially dangerous
mood swings. These moods and the emotions associated with them, although often times irrational, were nonetheless extremely powerful. Emotions
that powerful had to be released and expressed to the outside world. I like many teenagers, found that to express myself with words was far too
difficult and frustrating. I found a way to

My Experience Of My Music : My Life Of Music
The air was buzzing with soft whispers and laughter. My stomach was in all sorts of knots. I could feel my heart thumping vigorously inside my chest.
It was a hot night and the giant sun–like lights that shined down on us from the McCallum theatre didn't help at all. I held my bass guitar with a tight
grip, repeating the notes I had practiced over and over in my head.
Music has always been a thing in my family, a special thing most of us share. Family gatherings or parties never went without the sounds of guitars,
pianos, or voices filling the atmosphere. They enjoyed displaying their talent and had such fun becoming this joyful human jukebox.
I was always the timid kid. I never liked attention and avoided the spotlight at all cost, even if it was around the people I knew and loved. I was too
shy to sing and too shy to play the instruments I had knowledge of. When I joined band in high–school I never knew I would be able to overcome this
struggle. I started off in marching band , playing auxiliary percussion. I then became part of the jazz band where I was the lead piano player. I
enjoyed everything about band especially how we could become one sound and jam to all sorts of music selections. One day our band teacher
presented us with an opportunity to join a latin/salsa band. Practices would be held after school and he would not be the instructor. They needed abass
player and our current jazz band bass player did not want to join. I remember hesitating at the thought

Music Is A Part Of My Life
I cannot recall a time when music was not a part of my life. Whether I was singing in a choir, jamming out to the radio in my car with the windows
rolled down, or simply listening to music while studying, music has had a huge impact on who I have grown up to be and I would never want to
change that. Like every other form of art, music is universal and can be enjoyed by people from all different backgrounds. It gives people a chance to
understand the world differently rather than simply sitting in class taking a test. Every single time I hear a new song my life changes and I fall in
love again. Each student should have the opportunity to fall in love with the arts and change for the better. Although many people regard art
education as a luxury, the creative activities found in art classes like music, dance, ceramics, and drawing, are some of the first steps that go
towards child development. Learning to appreciate the visual aspect that goes along with art will be very important for today 's students. Despite the
arts being a pivotal part of a child 's growth, the government and many school boards believe the arts are not necessary and ultimately not important.
Art is often overlooked as attention is focused more on science and math. Many people feel these core classes are more valuable to a child's
education than any art class could ever be. This leads to art being one of the first things to be cut when there is little funding. The arts change students
every single day and

Role of Music in My Life
Music plays a vital role in my life. I love listening to music and it's become one of my hobbies since I'm in my primary school. I had been exposed to
music since I'm at kindergarten. I do a lot of performance that are related with music when I'm in my school age and I really enjoy it. I can say that
music has become part of my life. Even in kindergarten, I had been taught by music such as ABC's song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Happy Birthday
song, If You Are Happy and others. There are so many different categories and genres of music such as ballad, rock, Jazz, hip hop, pop, techno and
others. Whatever kind of music that I heard, it always gives joy and entertainment to me. Without music, my life would be soulless and bored. For me,

Some lyrics define my entire life. I was amazed to find a song that could compiled my life situations and my feelings. I like song which exactly
describe hoe I feel. Whenever I want to relive some touching memory in my mind, I listen to a particular song which makes me go back in time and
I can see the flashback and the scenes playback in my mind. Different music styles have different effects on me. For example, rock music can calm my
anger, pop makes me feel fresh, and love songs when I'm in love or falling in love while jolly lively song when I'm happy. If I'm stress, I will heard
techno genre and if I sad, I prefer to listen to soothing music. Besides listening to music, sometimes I sing a song or write a song in order to express
my feeling. After that, I automatically will become comfort and satisfy with myself. For me, music indicates a situation, an incident and a personality.
I believed that music is an expression of soul. For me, music is the most comforting soul especially when there's no one around to comfort me. Music
heals the heart, soul and mind. Third, music helps me a lot in the process of learning in my daily life. For me, music can makes my process of learning
becomes more interesting. I believed that other people also thought the same things. Even the kindergarten teachers also use music to teach young
children. Since I'm at preschool, my teacher teaches me a lot of song

Persuasive Essay : How Music Saved My Life?
When people say "music saved my life," they are saying they found themselves once to be weak and eventually found strength through music. You
can find yourself alone in the life you live but when you listen to music you realize you'll never be alone. I believe music gives people a sense of hope
that they don't have to feel like they're the only one's going through things. Music can express more than words and it gives people a constant when
their world seems to be chaotic. It's something some people need in their life and to be who they are and go on day by day.
I grew up listening to music everyday not knowing it would save my life in the end... the words that I would listen to would somehow connect with
how I was feeling or what I was going through. Music truly soothes the soul and just somehow gives you hope to continue on or to stop something. I
think I related my problems to the songs, it would give me comfort knowing I wasn't the only one who was feeling the way I once was. It showed me
life was worth living and fighting for. TakeDemi Lovato for instant, she was going through major depression and found herself through the music she
would produce. A lot of artist are actually like this and only some really come out and tell their true story on how music saved them. It's incredible to
know that no matter what you're going through someone, somewhere has gone through it too.
Music is worldwide and there is so many genres out today that no matter what type of music you listen to, there's something for everyone. Music can
touch others that hands and words cannot. Sometimes when you are going through hard times it may be difficult to figure out how to say it. Just the
simple act of listening to music can make you feel something you can't express. Someone once said "when words fail, music speaks" and that couldn't
be truer. Music takes over when there's nothing else left to say. Knowing that alone, should be comforting to fall back on. I would listen to so many
different types of music that there was no certain type that 'saved' me. It was just all of it combined. I never connected with people the way I connected
with music. It seems to understand me more than anyone I've told anything to. That what made me

Music And Music: My Importance Of My Music Life
"Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours." This is a famous quote from Elton John. This relates
to my music life because music rejuvenates me and helps me when I'm sad. When I'm frustrated or irate I'll play my flute or sing because it allows me
let out my emotions. I'm very ecstatic that I can participate in music at school through band class. Band gives me an intermission in my day, an
opportunity to direct others, and a unique kind of family.
One reason why I enjoy band so much is because it gives me a break from my day at school. This class is very relaxed and that is exactly what I need
to recollect myself and get ready for the rest of my day. Also, my band director is very nice and...show more content...
In the middle of the year, a few of us get to take a trip to some of the elementary schools in Chesterfield County, teach the students about music, and
play a piece or two for them. Their faces when they experience this is something my peers and I love to see. Also, when they ask us questions about
how to join band or about our instruments, it makes me think about when I was in fourth grade just starting to learn how to play my flute. I was so
excited and happy to be learning about music. I feel that music is a gift that has to be shared with others and it really does heal and help us. Next, if
my friend or I don't know the answer to a question in class, someone always knows the answer and we can go to them for assistance and guidance.
Everyone is extremely personable and that helps when we learn new pieces. Lastly, we are taught new things everyday, especially when we go to
assessment. Assessment is when we play for judges, get a score, and are told what went good and what we need to work on. This helps us improve
our playing for future pieces and performances. This class is a great learning experience for ourselves and everyone around

The Importance Of Music In My Life
Music is something people easily look over. Yes it may make some dance and add dramatic effects to a movie, but it's so much more than what
people see it to be. Music is an escape for me, a place in which I'm free to express who I am. Moreover, the sounds bring memories to my brain of
those moments where I remember the song playing in the back of my head. As a 17 year old, I might've grown up with a not so normal life
compared to those around me. I struggled with depression and anorexia in the past. I felt alone and I thought I was the only one in the world feeling
like this. Did people really not like me? I constantly asked myself whether I was good enough to make a positive difference on this earth. That was until
music came into my life. At such a young age, I loved singing even if I wasn't always on key, but never really realized the power music has on us.
Music is what got me through the hard times in my life. I am no longer suffering from depression or anorexia because I recovered. That's just one
of the many reasons on why music is such an important factor of my life and why I want to pursue a career within the industry. USC is where I've
always dreamed of attending school. USC is located in Los Angeles, which is known as a big music city. I plan on attending USC to get my
Bachelor's of Science in Music Industry, while at the same time working on my own musical ventures on my free time. I aspire to keep making music
that empowers people. I consider music to be more

Life is Music Essay
Life is music. Overflowing with fervent emotions, life is one, powerful, grand symphony. Every human organization, ranging from a group in a
language arts class to a country, is an orchestra. Each person plays a different part of the song, with a unique flavor and purpose. If one asks any
orchestra player what an orchestra is, one will most likely hear the words "selflessness," "respect," and "consideration." Professional conductors, or
leaders of any organization, do not glare at a player for missing a beat or playing a wrong note. Professional players do not try to play louder than
anyone else in the orchestra so their sound is distinguished; instead, they lower themselves and try to blend in with others. Although an orchestra's

character always lightens the mood of our orchestra.
Alice Yoon is the virtuoso violist, the left hand of our orchestra. Although her role may seem trivial, without her support, our orchestra would be
fruitless. Our violist is very thoughtful and prudent. She gives every stroke of her bow meaningful thoughts and always thinks about the effects that
her movements would make to the orchestra. Her answers visibly reflect her personality. When questioned where she would first spend her money if
she wins a lottery, Alice simply answers, "My parents, of course." A violist is like the left hand of a pianist. Although there are moments when a viola's
mellow sound projects over every other instrument, a violist's main role is to hold up the violinist.

The Importance Of Music In My Life
Music is extremely important. Growing up, music always played a big role in my life. My soul works through music. It also helped me through
extremely rough times in my life. When I was 7, I lost my little brother. I was mentally unstable during that period of time and music became the
medicine to cure my broken soul. Losing my brother caused lots of trials and tribulations in my life. I started having suicidal thoughts and starting
doing lots of things that to this day I regret. I felt like life was slowly giving up on me. I was riding home from school one day, and on the radio a
song came on. "Jessica Reddy, Better", was blasting through my mother's speakers. Listening to the melody in her voice and the words that
escaped her lips as she sang sent chills through my body. But, one part of that song stood out the most to me. She said, " Life, it can leave you so
bitter. But, you must believe that it gets better . It's alright, dry your eyes, send a prayer to the sky. I know It's hard to fight. But, you must believe
that it gets better." Her words spoke so much life into me. I went from being a depressed little girl to slowly but surely gaining back faith. Her
words, her tone, the melody in her voice, and the lyrics she sang gave me hope, courage, and my sanity. That's why this song played a major role in
my life. Shortly after that downfall in my life, I started to engage in boys. Becoming a teenager, I wanted to not listen to my mother and get a

Importance Of Music In My Life
Music has always been a big part of my life. I remember the radio or record player always playing music at home growing up. I sang in the choir at
church and school. I also played the trumpet all through middle school, I was even first chair in eighth grade. Once I was in high school, attending
concerts became a regular outing for me and my friends. I have continued to keep music in my life to this day.
The first period of my life represented is early childhood. I honestly could not think of one song I may have loved between ages 0 to 4. Any music
that I would have listened to would have been what my parents liked at the time. I decided to look up hit songs for the year I was 4 years old.
Looking through the list I remembered that I loved Chicago's song "Saturday in the Park". Every summer we traveled to Maine growing up to visit
my Grandma, and this song was my favorite. I specifically remember playing in the garage and listening to this song over and over again. Every
time I hear this song I think of Summer and all the fun I had growing up. It was released in 1972, but was still popular when I was in this time period.
I still love it.
The second period of my life represented is elementary school. I loved Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart". These were the days of listening to
the top forty with Casey Kasem on Saturday morning and taping songs you liked. I had to tape this song so I could listen to it over and over. I loved
her deep voice and this

The Importance Of Music In My Life
While most other people listen to music they often use the phrases " This song is my life.," "This song perfectly describes ME." Unfortunately, I
am unable to use any of those phrases. I have always had a hard time finding one song that perfectly fit all the distant corners of my personality, or
the situations I have had to endure. I have had to settle with finding songs that could fit in the playlist called my life. My life has been one of the
most intense rides ever to be ridden in history. Music has helped me during the times I confronted my biological father about all of my feelings. It has
helped me learn how to not dwell on feeling guilty for expressing how I actually feel. Music has taught me to embrace my insecurities, and it has
guided me in discovering what I want to do with my career. Finally, music has helped me love myself for what I truly am and nothing that I am
not. Music is a powerful force that cannot only influence other people's attitude, but it also can contribute to their actions. Other people find
serenity in art, jogging, or even MMA fighting, but music is my therapy. The one song that has made a huge impact on my playlist would have to
be Praying, by Kesha. In her music video, she starts with a monologue that hit me on a personal level that has been something that I live by during my
everyday life. It goes, " Am I dead or is this one of those dreams that seems like it goes on forever. If I am alive; Why? If there is a god or whatever,

Music in My Life Essay
Music, it's a part of everyone's life. From childhood sing–a–long songs, to garage grunge music, and everything in between music is everywhere.
Growing up with an extremely musical background it was in my genes that I would become a musician. Playing music has helped me become the
person I am by being a release for my anger, broadening my future and make new friends.. I first joined the band in the fourth grade playing the
drums. I played for about two weeks then I quit because I didn't like it, mostly because of the teacher. In the sixth grade we got a new music teacher
and told me I look like a trumpet player, so I gave it a try. I was taking music lessons but after the first one my music teacher told me she had to leave

When I get into fights with my step dad which to this day is still a problem instead of resorting to violence I would go and blare by favorite song at
the time over and over again. Also after having a hard time in high school being wrongfully suspended twice instead of dropping out or giving up I
had my bass to return home to home to sit for hours and write songs, hundreds of songs. The songs would relate to my feelings. Some songs would
be hard full of hate and anger but some songs were mellow with sad heart filled lyrics. If it weren't for these songs to write I you would not be
sitting here reading my paper. The girls in high school were also a reason for writing songs and playing trumpet. In all of my high school all my
relationships I was cheated on. This caused for harsh break ups, uncalled for arguments, and an untrusting Nick Henry. High school years where
trying times and if it wasn't for my music things would not have turned out they way they have. Music equals life, or the saying goes. I feel if I
had dropped out of band I would have missed out on a great experience. The ability to play music is something that will live on in you for the rest
of your life. Unlike playing a sport you can't ever get worn out or injured and lose the talent. All through school I played sports from baseball to
soccer, sure it was fun but it was never my calling, but just being able to play music for a live audience is a feeling that is so amazing there are not

Explain How Music Has Impacted My Life
How Music Has Impacted My Life
Music. When I started in the band in 8th grade at Saints Francis and Clare, I didn't really want to be there. It was just another class, in another day,
of my last year of school. This began to change after I realized all of the amazing people I met in the band. Band led me to be happier and become
friends with people who I never even knew I would meet. It has even lead me to a path that I would like to go into in the future. I love music and band
so much that it has made me want to teach it or join a band as I go into college and just for the rest of my life. Through music I have even had the
opportunity to meet some very amazing people, and I have been able to work next to some of those people. In 8th grade

Music In My Life
Music is very important in my life. My middle name is music. As a matter of fact, music is my life. Music builds on my everyday life. For you, I do
not know but I hope music is in your life somehow. Without music I have no idea what my job would be since my hope for a career involves music.
The definition of music is vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of
emotion. I incorporate music in my everyday life. These involve different forms of music. Three of them are musicals, chorus, and the piano. These are
just some of the very many reasons why music is in my life. Music is very dominant in my life. This essay will explain to you the three–forms of
music in my life. Musicals are one form of music in my life. Music is even in the name. I had been in 6 performances 3 of Beauty and the Beast Jr.
and 3 of Shrek the Musical Jr. I will also be in 3 performances of the Little Mermaid Jr. this spring. Every spring I am active with a whole bunch of
my friend performing for family and friends. One key feature of musicals is music. In depth musicals combine singing, spoken dialogue, acting, and
dancing. Musicals differentiate themselves from plays, skits, and other forms of drama. Although musicals are considered plays, song, music, and
dance make them different. So without forms of music musicals would be plays. Musicals are a good way of getting exercise. Since I am not athletic

The Role Of Music In My Life
Bono once said, "Music can change the world because it can change people". Music has changed me into the person I am today. I believe that music
heals my life problems. I remember running around in the Blockbuster video store my parents owned, always drawn to the music section. Although my
parents weren't heavily influenced by music, I branched out and discovered a whole new world. I found myself getting my first MP3 player at age 7.
Although The Jonas Brothers and High School Musical were less influential in my life, it did expose my mind to music. In a more recent time, I find
the lyrics to songs very powerful and meaningful. Each song has a meaning, and every song I listen to can relate to my life. I mostly listen to very sad
songs, and although it sounds disheartening, it's what I can relate to the most. There was a time in my life when I was very lonely and unhappy. I
had no one to relate to, except for when I found lyrics in a song. Music helped save my life, it was there even in the darkest of days. Music then
made me a much happier person. It was difficult to express my feelings and emotions, but I felt that I finally wasn't alone. It helps me find myself
and my happiness every day. Every time I am in a bad mood, I just put on my headphones, listen to some of my favorite voices, and tune out the rest
of the world. At the end of the day, if no one else is there for me, I know music is. The tune of a song is always something that I enjoy because it

Music Plays A Influence On My Life
Music plays a tremendous role in my life and always has. From the age of five, my parents introduced to me to one particular type of music, which
was gospel and it has been a part of who I am ever since. I can remember waking up early on Sunday morning hearing gospel music from artist such as
Kim Burrell, Shirley Caesar, and Mary Mary. I began learning these particular gospel songs and then I gained the courage to sing these songs in
church. At that moment, I knew singing was a passion of mine and music became food to my soul. I would have to say the moment in my life where I
strongly became influenced by music was as a child between the ages of five and twelve.
Then when I entered middle school, I joined the school band. I played two instruments, the trombone and trumpet. Although I truly enjoyed playing
those two instruments, I've always dreamed of playing the piano or violin but I never gained the opportunity to receive lessons. During the seventh
grade, I joined the Needwood Middle School Choir. We sung gospel music and Christmas music during the holiday season. With gaining so much
musical experience during my time in Middle School, my church appointed me to Youth Choir Director for Salem St. John Baptist Church.
Overall, I prefer Gospel music for so many different reasons. One of the reasons I prefer to listen to Gospel music is because of the messages behind
this type of music. God comes first and he truly is the head of my life. As a Christian, by me listening to

Music Essay : The Role Of Music In My Life
"The Role of Music in My Life"
Music influences the lives of people and their mood much more than most can imagine, because it is a fundamental theme and much to be taken into
account when it comes to being happy or not. On many occasions, without realizing it, when I feel sad, I unconsciously put on and on again some
slow song that speaks of something negative and that sinks me even deeper and for a longer time in my suffering. Music fulfills several functions, helps
me to dream, keeps my company, alleviates my worries, rejoices my spirit, allows me to feel part of a broader social group, and liberates me. In other
words, it is such a close and significant election. Music is composed of three basic elements: rhythm, melody and harmony. Rhythm is the first
element, without which there can be no musical expression and is an indicator of physical life, gives life to music. One example is the negroide show,
which is basically manifested as percussions of the drawer that invite a lively and sustained physical movement (Cohen, Bailey & Nilsson, 2002).
The melody for its part is the expressive element of music, what is commonly known as "the music" of the song, what impacts me, what I remember.
The presence of this element supposes a greater level of complexity: when I sing only with my voice I am incorporating two elements: the rhythm and
the melody (Mark, 2005). The third element is harmony; this requires a level of intellectual development, knowledge of the musical language

The Importance Of Music In Life Essay

  • 1. The Importance of Music in Life Essay The Importance of Music in Life Music is an important component for all people to posses in their lives. A child should be introduced to music at a very young age. The introduction of every type of music from classical all the way to modern rock is important. This gives a child the ability to form their own opinion to what they might like the best. Classical music can teach a child every aspect of music including, harmony, themes, dynamics, polymeters, and polyrhythms. These are the components that are scarce in modern music today. The three major components of variation are melody, rhythm, and meter. Variation is an important key to teach a child so that they understand the there are many different ways to approach music and ...show more content... Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky composed a piece, ?Promenade, from pictures of an exhibition? solely around an art exhibition. This is a dark and gloomy symphony that represents a marching soldier and paints a vivid picture of an army. Another composer using imagery was Aram Khachaturian, he composed a work called ?Sabre Dance?. This is an extremely energetic powerful piece that paints a definite picture of a chase and catch situation. This can be found in many cartoons today which allows a child to relate the classical music to a humorous situation. The piece is filled with energy and caused my seven year old brother to dance and run around the room. He enjoyed this piece the most and said it reminded him of a Tom and Jerry cartoon.. A modern classical composer, Steve Reich wrote ?Different Trains?, this is a classic example of sensory imagery. The composer uses many counts of ostinato, tempo, and meter changes to portray the sounds of different trains in different cities. The sampled sounds paint a colorful picture and make the piece very interesting and unique. The originality yet classical makeup attracts children and adults to imagine moving trains. Dynamics, softness and loudness in music, is another important part of musical composition. Franz Joseph Haydn wrote ?The Surprise Symphony? that developed a variation in the dynamic level. • 2. The Importance Of Music In My Life If I had a table that held objects that symbolized my life, on that table I would for sure have a music sheet, a plane, and a car. These objects may seem kind of strange and may have seemed insignificant to me before I had to write this essay, but I now realize that they do in fact relate and symbolize an aspect of my life. Whether it be how music is an important part of my life or how my sister moved away to another country, and early memories of round–tripping with my family, I will explain to you how these things are important to me. I am proud to say that I've been in the school band for most of my school career, (since fifth grade to be exact) although others may be embarrassed by the fact that they were even in band. It has brought me many fun memories that I will be able to cherish and will have a spot in my heart. First off, I have an amazing band teacher that honestly does love the fact that we are in his band and takes the time to talk to us and build friendships. Our band teachers took us to an amazing trip to Disneyland my freshman year in high school, where we bonded with upperclassmen and really had a good time. Not only have I enjoyed cool trips, pep band, and learning to read music and play the clarinet, but I have also enjoyed the fact of building friendship and being close to everyone that is a part of it. Sheet music to me also represents what I may want to have a future career in and the fact that I would like to learn how to play other instruments, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. How Music Has Influenced Our Lives Essay Mid Term Essay Sometimes in life people grieve. People feel all kinds of emotions. Music is almost an emotion itself. In my perspective music can be an escape, for however long you desire. Music has been call "a way of life" for many human beings. Somehow, it has made a large influence on the world. I can think of many instances where music has influenced my life. Music effects our everyday lives and can almost be an incomprehensive predicament. Music today is powerful and has a lot more meaning than just sounds and words. Music is so powerful that it has the power to manipulate and influence individuals in a positive or negative way. There is so much meaning behind music the lyrics nowadays. Music can tell an artist life story, things they have been through, and even their opinion on certain views. The most powerful function of music, however, is its ability to express our emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Music has been so important to me, I would venture to say that without it, I would not be alive. As someone diagnosed with bi–polar disorder, or more commonly known as manic depression, I have been prone to very wide and potentially dangerous mood swings. These moods and the emotions associated with them, although often times irrational, were nonetheless extremely powerful. Emotions that powerful had to be released and expressed to the outside world. I like many teenagers, found that to express myself with words was far too difficult and frustrating. I found a way to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Experience Of My Music : My Life Of Music The air was buzzing with soft whispers and laughter. My stomach was in all sorts of knots. I could feel my heart thumping vigorously inside my chest. It was a hot night and the giant sun–like lights that shined down on us from the McCallum theatre didn't help at all. I held my bass guitar with a tight grip, repeating the notes I had practiced over and over in my head. Music has always been a thing in my family, a special thing most of us share. Family gatherings or parties never went without the sounds of guitars, pianos, or voices filling the atmosphere. They enjoyed displaying their talent and had such fun becoming this joyful human jukebox. I was always the timid kid. I never liked attention and avoided the spotlight at all cost, even if it was around the people I knew and loved. I was too shy to sing and too shy to play the instruments I had knowledge of. When I joined band in high–school I never knew I would be able to overcome this struggle. I started off in marching band , playing auxiliary percussion. I then became part of the jazz band where I was the lead piano player. I enjoyed everything about band especially how we could become one sound and jam to all sorts of music selections. One day our band teacher presented us with an opportunity to join a latin/salsa band. Practices would be held after school and he would not be the instructor. They needed abass player and our current jazz band bass player did not want to join. I remember hesitating at the thought Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Music Is A Part Of My Life I cannot recall a time when music was not a part of my life. Whether I was singing in a choir, jamming out to the radio in my car with the windows rolled down, or simply listening to music while studying, music has had a huge impact on who I have grown up to be and I would never want to change that. Like every other form of art, music is universal and can be enjoyed by people from all different backgrounds. It gives people a chance to understand the world differently rather than simply sitting in class taking a test. Every single time I hear a new song my life changes and I fall in love again. Each student should have the opportunity to fall in love with the arts and change for the better. Although many people regard art education as a luxury, the creative activities found in art classes like music, dance, ceramics, and drawing, are some of the first steps that go towards child development. Learning to appreciate the visual aspect that goes along with art will be very important for today 's students. Despite the arts being a pivotal part of a child 's growth, the government and many school boards believe the arts are not necessary and ultimately not important. Art is often overlooked as attention is focused more on science and math. Many people feel these core classes are more valuable to a child's education than any art class could ever be. This leads to art being one of the first things to be cut when there is little funding. The arts change students every single day and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Role of Music in My Life Music plays a vital role in my life. I love listening to music and it's become one of my hobbies since I'm in my primary school. I had been exposed to music since I'm at kindergarten. I do a lot of performance that are related with music when I'm in my school age and I really enjoy it. I can say that music has become part of my life. Even in kindergarten, I had been taught by music such as ABC's song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Happy Birthday song, If You Are Happy and others. There are so many different categories and genres of music such as ballad, rock, Jazz, hip hop, pop, techno and others. Whatever kind of music that I heard, it always gives joy and entertainment to me. Without music, my life would be soulless and bored. For me, ...show more content... Some lyrics define my entire life. I was amazed to find a song that could compiled my life situations and my feelings. I like song which exactly describe hoe I feel. Whenever I want to relive some touching memory in my mind, I listen to a particular song which makes me go back in time and I can see the flashback and the scenes playback in my mind. Different music styles have different effects on me. For example, rock music can calm my anger, pop makes me feel fresh, and love songs when I'm in love or falling in love while jolly lively song when I'm happy. If I'm stress, I will heard techno genre and if I sad, I prefer to listen to soothing music. Besides listening to music, sometimes I sing a song or write a song in order to express my feeling. After that, I automatically will become comfort and satisfy with myself. For me, music indicates a situation, an incident and a personality. I believed that music is an expression of soul. For me, music is the most comforting soul especially when there's no one around to comfort me. Music heals the heart, soul and mind. Third, music helps me a lot in the process of learning in my daily life. For me, music can makes my process of learning becomes more interesting. I believed that other people also thought the same things. Even the kindergarten teachers also use music to teach young children. • 7. Persuasive Essay : How Music Saved My Life? When people say "music saved my life," they are saying they found themselves once to be weak and eventually found strength through music. You can find yourself alone in the life you live but when you listen to music you realize you'll never be alone. I believe music gives people a sense of hope that they don't have to feel like they're the only one's going through things. Music can express more than words and it gives people a constant when their world seems to be chaotic. It's something some people need in their life and to be who they are and go on day by day. I grew up listening to music everyday not knowing it would save my life in the end... the words that I would listen to would somehow connect with how I was feeling or what I was going through. Music truly soothes the soul and just somehow gives you hope to continue on or to stop something. I think I related my problems to the songs, it would give me comfort knowing I wasn't the only one who was feeling the way I once was. It showed me life was worth living and fighting for. TakeDemi Lovato for instant, she was going through major depression and found herself through the music she would produce. A lot of artist are actually like this and only some really come out and tell their true story on how music saved them. It's incredible to know that no matter what you're going through someone, somewhere has gone through it too. Music is worldwide and there is so many genres out today that no matter what type of music you listen to, there's something for everyone. Music can touch others that hands and words cannot. Sometimes when you are going through hard times it may be difficult to figure out how to say it. Just the simple act of listening to music can make you feel something you can't express. Someone once said "when words fail, music speaks" and that couldn't be truer. Music takes over when there's nothing else left to say. Knowing that alone, should be comforting to fall back on. I would listen to so many different types of music that there was no certain type that 'saved' me. It was just all of it combined. I never connected with people the way I connected with music. It seems to understand me more than anyone I've told anything to. That what made me Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Music And Music: My Importance Of My Music Life "Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours." This is a famous quote from Elton John. This relates to my music life because music rejuvenates me and helps me when I'm sad. When I'm frustrated or irate I'll play my flute or sing because it allows me let out my emotions. I'm very ecstatic that I can participate in music at school through band class. Band gives me an intermission in my day, an opportunity to direct others, and a unique kind of family. One reason why I enjoy band so much is because it gives me a break from my day at school. This class is very relaxed and that is exactly what I need to recollect myself and get ready for the rest of my day. Also, my band director is very nice and...show more content... In the middle of the year, a few of us get to take a trip to some of the elementary schools in Chesterfield County, teach the students about music, and play a piece or two for them. Their faces when they experience this is something my peers and I love to see. Also, when they ask us questions about how to join band or about our instruments, it makes me think about when I was in fourth grade just starting to learn how to play my flute. I was so excited and happy to be learning about music. I feel that music is a gift that has to be shared with others and it really does heal and help us. Next, if my friend or I don't know the answer to a question in class, someone always knows the answer and we can go to them for assistance and guidance. Everyone is extremely personable and that helps when we learn new pieces. Lastly, we are taught new things everyday, especially when we go to assessment. Assessment is when we play for judges, get a score, and are told what went good and what we need to work on. This helps us improve our playing for future pieces and performances. This class is a great learning experience for ourselves and everyone around Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. The Importance Of Music In My Life Music is something people easily look over. Yes it may make some dance and add dramatic effects to a movie, but it's so much more than what people see it to be. Music is an escape for me, a place in which I'm free to express who I am. Moreover, the sounds bring memories to my brain of those moments where I remember the song playing in the back of my head. As a 17 year old, I might've grown up with a not so normal life compared to those around me. I struggled with depression and anorexia in the past. I felt alone and I thought I was the only one in the world feeling like this. Did people really not like me? I constantly asked myself whether I was good enough to make a positive difference on this earth. That was until music came into my life. At such a young age, I loved singing even if I wasn't always on key, but never really realized the power music has on us. Music is what got me through the hard times in my life. I am no longer suffering from depression or anorexia because I recovered. That's just one of the many reasons on why music is such an important factor of my life and why I want to pursue a career within the industry. USC is where I've always dreamed of attending school. USC is located in Los Angeles, which is known as a big music city. I plan on attending USC to get my Bachelor's of Science in Music Industry, while at the same time working on my own musical ventures on my free time. I aspire to keep making music that empowers people. I consider music to be more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Life is Music Essay Life is music. Overflowing with fervent emotions, life is one, powerful, grand symphony. Every human organization, ranging from a group in a language arts class to a country, is an orchestra. Each person plays a different part of the song, with a unique flavor and purpose. If one asks any orchestra player what an orchestra is, one will most likely hear the words "selflessness," "respect," and "consideration." Professional conductors, or leaders of any organization, do not glare at a player for missing a beat or playing a wrong note. Professional players do not try to play louder than anyone else in the orchestra so their sound is distinguished; instead, they lower themselves and try to blend in with others. Although an orchestra's success...show more content... Claire's character is clearly shown in her interests. She is a very talented competitive dancer and is interested in fashion and traveling. Her radiant character always lightens the mood of our orchestra. Alice Yoon is the virtuoso violist, the left hand of our orchestra. Although her role may seem trivial, without her support, our orchestra would be fruitless. Our violist is very thoughtful and prudent. She gives every stroke of her bow meaningful thoughts and always thinks about the effects that her movements would make to the orchestra. Her answers visibly reflect her personality. When questioned where she would first spend her money if she wins a lottery, Alice simply answers, "My parents, of course." A violist is like the left hand of a pianist. Although there are moments when a viola's mellow sound projects over every other instrument, a violist's main role is to hold up the violinist. Song 3 Anna Veal is the charming cellist. • 11. The Importance Of Music In My Life Music is extremely important. Growing up, music always played a big role in my life. My soul works through music. It also helped me through extremely rough times in my life. When I was 7, I lost my little brother. I was mentally unstable during that period of time and music became the medicine to cure my broken soul. Losing my brother caused lots of trials and tribulations in my life. I started having suicidal thoughts and starting doing lots of things that to this day I regret. I felt like life was slowly giving up on me. I was riding home from school one day, and on the radio a song came on. "Jessica Reddy, Better", was blasting through my mother's speakers. Listening to the melody in her voice and the words that escaped her lips as she sang sent chills through my body. But, one part of that song stood out the most to me. She said, " Life, it can leave you so bitter. But, you must believe that it gets better . It's alright, dry your eyes, send a prayer to the sky. I know It's hard to fight. But, you must believe that it gets better." Her words spoke so much life into me. I went from being a depressed little girl to slowly but surely gaining back faith. Her words, her tone, the melody in her voice, and the lyrics she sang gave me hope, courage, and my sanity. That's why this song played a major role in my life. Shortly after that downfall in my life, I started to engage in boys. Becoming a teenager, I wanted to not listen to my mother and get a boyfriend, being " hot in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Importance Of Music In My Life Music has always been a big part of my life. I remember the radio or record player always playing music at home growing up. I sang in the choir at church and school. I also played the trumpet all through middle school, I was even first chair in eighth grade. Once I was in high school, attending concerts became a regular outing for me and my friends. I have continued to keep music in my life to this day. The first period of my life represented is early childhood. I honestly could not think of one song I may have loved between ages 0 to 4. Any music that I would have listened to would have been what my parents liked at the time. I decided to look up hit songs for the year I was 4 years old. Looking through the list I remembered that I loved Chicago's song "Saturday in the Park". Every summer we traveled to Maine growing up to visit my Grandma, and this song was my favorite. I specifically remember playing in the garage and listening to this song over and over again. Every time I hear this song I think of Summer and all the fun I had growing up. It was released in 1972, but was still popular when I was in this time period. I still love it. The second period of my life represented is elementary school. I loved Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart". These were the days of listening to the top forty with Casey Kasem on Saturday morning and taping songs you liked. I had to tape this song so I could listen to it over and over. I loved her deep voice and this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. The Importance Of Music In My Life While most other people listen to music they often use the phrases " This song is my life.," "This song perfectly describes ME." Unfortunately, I am unable to use any of those phrases. I have always had a hard time finding one song that perfectly fit all the distant corners of my personality, or the situations I have had to endure. I have had to settle with finding songs that could fit in the playlist called my life. My life has been one of the most intense rides ever to be ridden in history. Music has helped me during the times I confronted my biological father about all of my feelings. It has helped me learn how to not dwell on feeling guilty for expressing how I actually feel. Music has taught me to embrace my insecurities, and it has guided me in discovering what I want to do with my career. Finally, music has helped me love myself for what I truly am and nothing that I am not. Music is a powerful force that cannot only influence other people's attitude, but it also can contribute to their actions. Other people find serenity in art, jogging, or even MMA fighting, but music is my therapy. The one song that has made a huge impact on my playlist would have to be Praying, by Kesha. In her music video, she starts with a monologue that hit me on a personal level that has been something that I live by during my everyday life. It goes, " Am I dead or is this one of those dreams that seems like it goes on forever. If I am alive; Why? If there is a god or whatever, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Music in My Life Essay Music, it's a part of everyone's life. From childhood sing–a–long songs, to garage grunge music, and everything in between music is everywhere. Growing up with an extremely musical background it was in my genes that I would become a musician. Playing music has helped me become the person I am by being a release for my anger, broadening my future and make new friends.. I first joined the band in the fourth grade playing the drums. I played for about two weeks then I quit because I didn't like it, mostly because of the teacher. In the sixth grade we got a new music teacher and told me I look like a trumpet player, so I gave it a try. I was taking music lessons but after the first one my music teacher told me she had to leave because she...show more content... When I get into fights with my step dad which to this day is still a problem instead of resorting to violence I would go and blare by favorite song at the time over and over again. Also after having a hard time in high school being wrongfully suspended twice instead of dropping out or giving up I had my bass to return home to home to sit for hours and write songs, hundreds of songs. The songs would relate to my feelings. Some songs would be hard full of hate and anger but some songs were mellow with sad heart filled lyrics. If it weren't for these songs to write I you would not be sitting here reading my paper. The girls in high school were also a reason for writing songs and playing trumpet. In all of my high school all my relationships I was cheated on. This caused for harsh break ups, uncalled for arguments, and an untrusting Nick Henry. High school years where trying times and if it wasn't for my music things would not have turned out they way they have. Music equals life, or the saying goes. I feel if I had dropped out of band I would have missed out on a great experience. The ability to play music is something that will live on in you for the rest of your life. Unlike playing a sport you can't ever get worn out or injured and lose the talent. All through school I played sports from baseball to soccer, sure it was fun but it was never my calling, but just being able to play music for a live audience is a feeling that is so amazing there are not enough Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The definition of music is vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. I incorporate music in my everyday life. These involve different forms of music. Three of them are musicals, chorus, and the piano. These are just some of the very many reasons why music is in my life. Music is very dominant in my life. This essay will explain to you the three–forms of music in my life. Musicals are one form of music in my life. Music is even in the name. • 17. The Role Of Music In My Life Bono once said, "Music can change the world because it can change people". Music has changed me into the person I am today. I believe that music heals my life problems. I remember running around in the Blockbuster video store my parents owned, always drawn to the music section. Although my parents weren't heavily influenced by music, I branched out and discovered a whole new world. I found myself getting my first MP3 player at age 7. Although The Jonas Brothers and High School Musical were less influential in my life, it did expose my mind to music. In a more recent time, I find the lyrics to songs very powerful and meaningful. Each song has a meaning, and every song I listen to can relate to my life. I mostly listen to very sad songs, and although it sounds disheartening, it's what I can relate to the most. There was a time in my life when I was very lonely and unhappy. I had no one to relate to, except for when I found lyrics in a song. Music helped save my life, it was there even in the darkest of days. Music then made me a much happier person. It was difficult to express my feelings and emotions, but I felt that I finally wasn't alone. It helps me find myself and my happiness every day. Every time I am in a bad mood, I just put on my headphones, listen to some of my favorite voices, and tune out the rest of the world. At the end of the day, if no one else is there for me, I know music is. The tune of a song is always something that I enjoy because it brings people Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Music Plays A Influence On My Life Music plays a tremendous role in my life and always has. From the age of five, my parents introduced to me to one particular type of music, which was gospel and it has been a part of who I am ever since. I can remember waking up early on Sunday morning hearing gospel music from artist such as Kim Burrell, Shirley Caesar, and Mary Mary. I began learning these particular gospel songs and then I gained the courage to sing these songs in church. At that moment, I knew singing was a passion of mine and music became food to my soul. I would have to say the moment in my life where I strongly became influenced by music was as a child between the ages of five and twelve. Then when I entered middle school, I joined the school band. I played two instruments, the trombone and trumpet. Although I truly enjoyed playing those two instruments, I've always dreamed of playing the piano or violin but I never gained the opportunity to receive lessons. During the seventh grade, I joined the Needwood Middle School Choir. We sung gospel music and Christmas music during the holiday season. With gaining so much musical experience during my time in Middle School, my church appointed me to Youth Choir Director for Salem St. John Baptist Church. Overall, I prefer Gospel music for so many different reasons. One of the reasons I prefer to listen to Gospel music is because of the messages behind this type of music. God comes first and he truly is the head of my life. As a Christian, by me listening to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Music Essay : The Role Of Music In My Life "The Role of Music in My Life" Music influences the lives of people and their mood much more than most can imagine, because it is a fundamental theme and much to be taken into account when it comes to being happy or not. On many occasions, without realizing it, when I feel sad, I unconsciously put on and on again some slow song that speaks of something negative and that sinks me even deeper and for a longer time in my suffering. Music fulfills several functions, helps me to dream, keeps my company, alleviates my worries, rejoices my spirit, allows me to feel part of a broader social group, and liberates me. In other words, it is such a close and significant election. Music is composed of three basic elements: rhythm, melody and harmony. Rhythm is the first element, without which there can be no musical expression and is an indicator of physical life, gives life to music. One example is the negroide show, which is basically manifested as percussions of the drawer that invite a lively and sustained physical movement (Cohen, Bailey & Nilsson, 2002). The melody for its part is the expressive element of music, what is commonly known as "the music" of the song, what impacts me, what I remember. The presence of this element supposes a greater level of complexity: when I sing only with my voice I am incorporating two elements: the rhythm and the melody (Mark, 2005). The third element is harmony; this requires a level of intellectual development, knowledge of the musical language Get more content on HelpWriting.net
