My Intended Audience Analysis
BA 5 My intended audience is the people of my generation, or also known as generation y. Also known as the millennial generation, the citizens of
generation y are born between the early 1980s and the early 2000s. Thesis: Advancement in technology and resources is causing more damage than
good in the timeline of generation y. Reason 1) As technology increases, the will to work decreases. This could be a focal point in the paper by
giving statistics in the amount of time spent on certain activities that have been replaced by technology. It is also useful to use statistics on the
percentage of people who know how to do specific tasks. This could be effective by showing the large decline in the amount of people who have lost

Essay on Audience Analysis
Audience Analysis1 In this audience analysis, I have addressed a situation in which I am called on to present quarterly sales information at an
in–person meeting to a group of stakeholders, including managers, salespeople, and customers. I will explain how I will address the communication to
this audience by answering the following questions: (1) What characteristics of the audience must I consider?, (2) What communication channels are
appropriate? (3) What are some considerations to keep in mind given the diversity of the audience?, and (4) How would I ensure that my message is
effective? The characteristics of the audience that I must consider when addressing the audience are the primary stakeholders....show more content...
An example of face to face presentation might include showing graphs, spreadsheets, power point presentation to those individuals who will be
affected by an endeavor and can influence it. In public speaking of any form to a diverse group of individuals, my main consideration as the speaker is
my concentration on the audience that I am speaking to. In starting an effective presentation, 2 the considerations of the audience are critical to
achieving a success. The main reason is the various characteristics of the target audience and the communication channels have to be sufficient and
appropriate to convey the message to the audience effectively. Using a presentation of quarterly sales information at an in–person meeting to a group of
stakeholders for analyzing the audience allow to explore the various characteristics' of this diverse group of individuals who include managers, sales
persons, and customers. A breakdown of the audience characteristics and their demographic make–up is necessary for analysis to best illustrate the
necessary considerations that are important in performing this presentation effectively. Some considerations to keep in mind given

Audience Analysis : My Audience
Audience Analysis: My audience will consist of different age groups, genders, and educational background. For example, the audience members are
made up of ages between 12 years old and 60 years old. Also, there is a diversity of educational background among each audience member. For
instance, two audience members obtained a college degree, as for, three audience members they are still attending high school. For this reason, I desire
to define assertiveness in demeanor for all ages and educational background to understand. Moreover, each audience member is related to me.
Therefore, each member knows my name, personality, hobbies, parents, and where I live. Also, since my family is my audience members I then
decided on an informal dress code.
I believe my audience will appreciate the information on assertive communication and actions. For bullying has affected several audience members in
the past. Therefore, I will conduct the speech in a serious and sympathetic manner.
"Why is assertiveness one of the best methods against negative association and worthless thinking?"
General purpose: Informative explanation speech
Specific purpose: To inform my audience of why assertive communication is considered the elite method of communication.
Organization pattern: Topical pattern

Influenza Advertisement Analysis
Advertising is a complicated form of marketing, it's almost like an art form. One must be acutely aware of their audience and what captures their
attention, otherwise the advertisement will fall flat. There is a myriad of different ways to lure consumers into buying a product; for example, the
Center for Disease Control's (CDC) managed through a series of advertisements to convince individuals of the importance in getting a vaccination for
the influenza virus. It was applied using multiple techniques, namely the methods of universal appeal and association. These techniques helped the
CDC to effectively promotes the flu vaccine and get their message across to a wide range of people. In one of the advertisements the CDC uses

Three small children are pictured laughing and sharing popcorn amongst themselves, along with the message, "Spread popcorn. Not flu,"
(Edgenuity). Using the association technique, it shows how of the two things mentioned, popcorn and the flu, popcorn is the item that should be
shared, rather than the much sicklier alternative. This is enforced with the ad's informative message of, "Even healthy kids of any age can get sick
from the flu, and they can spread it to family, friends, and others. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every year,"
(Edgenuity). This successfully gets across that the flu is a serious illness that should not be spread, but that it is easily preventable with a flu
vaccination. Parents may see this ad and worry about their child's safety; not only could their child get the flu, they could spread it to other children as
well. Many parents may then go get a flu shot for their children in order to prevent that from happening. This ad effectively uses the association
technique and spreads the important message in an informative and catchy way. For each of the three advertisements, the Center for Disease Control
(CDC) uses different methods of displaying the intended message to their audience. In targeting a specific audience, they can hone in on what the
audience can relate to and agree with, and create a message and way of displaying that message accordingly.

Captive Audience Analysis
Supplement Assignment: Captive Audience
Before I began managing, I spent years focusing on marketing and how I could engage customers. During this time, much of my time was spent
brainstorming strategies to pull the customer in, make them stop what they were doing, and actively listen. Collectively engaging an audience, all in one
setting, is an outreach member's dream, such as captive audience speeches. Captive audience can be easily be explained as a meeting that the listener's
onlookers have no choice but to attend. To have a captive audience, the presenter knows he/she has the listeners in a situation they are "unable to
escape" or leave. Captive audiences exist all around us, but especially popular in the workplace.

Audience Analysis
Effective communication in the business world must be mastered to be successful in the competitive market. Individuals will need to learn about their
audience to know the best way to convey their messages effectively. If individuals do not analyze their audience first, then their messages will be lost to
some of the audience who may not understand the level of language. With diversity in the business environment, individuals must ensure that when
they speak to an audience that they gear their message to everyone. When addressing a situation in which diversity is present, speakers must always
design communication with the audience in mind.
To achieve effective communication in a diverse audience, speakers must consider the characteristics...show more content...
If the speaker does not know the audience then he or she will interpret the Chinese's eye contact to be surprised and not angered. The next
consideration a speaker must keep in mind is that when presenting an oral communication, how the speaker carries his or her voice is crucial from
the audience point of view. The speaker's tone of voice, whether rising or lowering the voice, indicates if he or she is uncertain or confident and
whether the speaker is sincere or sarcastic. The pitch of the speaker's voice from low to high will determine the effectiveness of the presentation.
Low–pitched voices are more pleasant to listen to than high–pitched voices; on the other hand, there are times when high–pitched voices are required
such as to show excitement for goals met. Besides watching for the voice pitch, the speaker must remember to stress a word or words in the sentence
to emphasize the main points of the presentation. Also the speaker must ensure the volume of his or her tone can be heard by the audience who sits in
the back room without shouting. Speakers who change their tone, pitch, and stress as they speak are more enthusiastic, energetic, and more intelligent
(Locker & Kienzler, 2008).
To ensure the message is effective, the speaker must state the purpose of the meeting at the beginning and allow enough time to discuss any questions
the audience may have. While making the presentation, the speaker needs to pay attention to the audience

Presentation Analysis Essay examples
This memo examines the strengths and weaknesses of my presentation on March 19, 2010. In addition, the memo discusses my goals for improvement
in future presentations as well as a review of Aly Sherali's presentation.
Presentation Strengths
My organization, voice, and passion were all strong points of my presentation. This allowed me to effectively engage my audience and convey my
content in an efficient and logical way.
Organization
Tim Koegel, author of The Exceptional Presenter, explains that there are two essential facets of organizing a presentation: developing a structure that
allows you to frame your objective and cover your material smoothly, and looking organized to your audience (Koegel, 31–32). I structured my slides

Even if a presenter is the leading authority on a topic, being unprepared can signal the opposite to the audience and cause them to disengage before
the presentation even starts (Koegel, 45). I arrived to the venue early, made sure my presentation was easily accessible, and checked to see if my slides
worked correctly on the computer. This allowed me to efficiently and confidently lead off my presentation and ensure that I could capture the
audience's attention.
Voice
The voice is a valuable tool to becoming an exceptional presenter (Koegel, 84). I used my voice as an effective asset throughout my presentation. My
volume was at an effective level throughout the presentation and sounded confident. I also employed inflection in my voice on key points to maintain
audience attention. According to studies, eighty–four percent of the impact you have comes from your voice, not your words. I was very careful to
avoid monotone voice, which significantly shortens the attention span of an audience (Koegel, 84). I also took great care to eliminate any "verbal
graffiti" as Koegel refers to it. Verbal graffiti is any non–essential "filler" words that distract the audience and dilute your impact (Koegel, 87). I
practiced my presentation many times and was confident enough with the material that I did not fill my pauses with any filler words. I stayed focused
on my content, which helped my audience to do

Writing The Audience Analysis
Audience is a very important factor in any writing whether its academically or personal writing. When writing you have to make sure the content being
written can be understood and that readers can some what relate, for example children's book are written for a child audience and is composed so that
the audience understands the content. In academic writing the audience determines the style of writing and the style of writing. In play writing the
audience is different and there is typically no format, no style the content is more realxed.
If Professor McHugh is my audience my writings have to be very well organized , edited and be in the proper format versus if I was writing a friend

Target Audience Analysis Paper
In this paper, we analysed the target audience, big and small differences, content, and ways to improve the annual report. The Hershey Company's
Annual Report and 10K have many differences and few similarities, where each document is written to communicate financial statement disclosures to
its intended audience.
Targeted Audiences for each Report
The annual report and 10K are composed based on their different audiences. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's requires every public
company to publish their finances in a 10K, and The Hershey Company is no exception. The purpose of Hershey's 10K is to give a thorough overview
of its business and financial condition. Because the 10K's intended audience is the SEC, the document's style...show more content...
Because each document has a separate idea that they're trying to get across to their audience, the length is dirasticaly different between the two
reports. Hershey's 10K Report is 108 pages long, which is must shorter compared to the lengthy 233 page Annual Report. The 10K report is shorter
because its focus is to present the information and not to beat around the bush. The Annual Report contains more content than the 10K because needs
presentable to the stockholders. Adding the extra length gives the Annual Report space to connect with their audience in a professional, yet friendly
manner. The reports also differ through the useage of color. The Annual Report uses the colors of brown and silver to stimulate the thought of
Hershey candy. Adding the color makes the report more appealing to the everyday reader. On the other hand, the 10K report uses no color, sticking to
black and white. This keeps the report professional and presents the information in the simplest way possible. Another way the documents differ in
presenting their big ideas is through the use of pictures, graphs, and charts. A major difference seen between the reports is the Annual Report's
pictures of the board's directors. The Annual Report also uses bar graphs and pie charts, while the 10K report sticks to general charts and tables. The
different charts and graphs in both reports allow each report to present their

Audience Analysis
1.Audience analysis is the most important part of the writing process for technical writers because each piece of correspondence must be
personalized to whatever demographic you are writing to. Age, culture, and beliefs of the reader must be considered and taken into account before
anything is sent out. I totally agree with this. If I work at an office and I send a memo to other co–workers I would write it differently than if it was to
s boss or other superiors. The way I communicate with a friend that is around my age is different than someone that is older than me. Also if I am
writing to someone that doesn't speak English as a first language I have to be careful with the words that I use. I need to make sure that they can clearly
understand me. The subject, tone, sentence structure and how the audience will react all must be taken into account when writing any type of document.
2.The four types of audiences are

c.Executives

any and all the decisions about what the experts and technicians are doing with their work. The nonspecialist is the least technologically knowledgeable
out of the group. You wouldn't send an email that is meant for an Expert to a Nonspecialist. The level of understanding is the highest at the expert
level. An Expert can understand something intended for a Nonspecialist but not the other way around. You want to cater to the level of whomever you

Ethnographic Audience Analysis
What does it take to prepare a successful speech? There are many factors to take into account when becoming an effective speaker. First, I need to
make sure that I am audience–centered. This means that I will need to "keep the audience foremost in mind at every step of speech preparation and
presentation." This means that I need to take into consideration the demographic and situational factors. Demographic audience analysis is when I
focus the audience's demographic factors such as age and gender. For example, when doing a presentation in a classroom setting, I will need to adjust
my speech to make it less formal and more humourous because the audience is students who are in their late teens. This will help gain the interest of
my classmates. When a politician does a speech for their party, they need to take into consideration that the age of the citizens, the different religions,
sexual orientations, and people's different cultural and racial background. Their presentation will be quite formal for people to take them seriously.

This means that it is important for the audience to have the knowledge and information to clearly understand the message being conveyed. In order for
this to happen, we need to stop being ethnocentric. "Ethnocentrism is a part of every culture and can affect one's ability to communicate effectively."
Values that are likely to resonate with the audience would be religion, culture, andsexual orientation. For many of us, these define our background. It
provides us strength and identity. Belonging to these groups unite people together because of a shared or similar value and state of mind. These will be
the common interests that they share. For example, in the Chinese culture, the number 'four' is referred to as death because of the similar
pronunciation. This is a shared state of mind that this culture

Audience Analysis Paper When it comes to writing and presenting a speech, the audience is a big factor to account for. Who are you speaking to?
How do you grab their attention? Where, when, and why are you speaking to these people? There are a lot of things to consider when there is a

Audience-Centered Communication Analysis
Audience–centered communication allows successful communication between the speaker and the audience. The speaker evaluates the audience to
ascertain the subject matter, what the audience expects and the appropriate language usage to promote a connection. This allows the speaker to
customize the message so the audience's needs are addressed. "Your job is to express your ideas so clearly that your audience cannot misinterpret
them." (Oliu, 2013, p. 7)
This approach can be used to deliver any information as long as you are aware of your audience. It is important to use it to your advantage whether
you are delivering the message through a presentation, memorandum or email. If you are not connecting with your audience, it increases the risk of
failing to understand or misinterpreting the message. Likewise, if you deliver information above the level of some listeners, you also risk losing their
interest. There are many considerations to keep in mind when using the audience centered approach. The speaker needs to understand the make–up of
the audience, background, education and their needs. More importantly, take into consideration the audience, it is essential to know the following:
Level of interest – Why are they involved
Experience –...show more content...

Answer:
Elements of Persuasive Message
In the workplace, a persuasive message occurs when a person attempts to convince an individual or group to take certain specific actions. The two
types of persuasive messages in the workplace are sales and marketing, which are utilized to achieve organizational objectives to inform, influence and
persuade consumers to buy.
Following are the Elements in a Persuasive Message;
1. Audience Analysis: While writing persuasive letters, you need to consider the person or people who will read it, that is, the audience. Familiarity of
the audience and likeliness of the content are two main things to be considered during audience analysis. Depending one these basis one can decide

My Intended Audience Analysis

  • 1. My Intended Audience Analysis BA 5 My intended audience is the people of my generation, or also known as generation y. Also known as the millennial generation, the citizens of generation y are born between the early 1980s and the early 2000s. Thesis: Advancement in technology and resources is causing more damage than good in the timeline of generation y. Reason 1) As technology increases, the will to work decreases. This could be a focal point in the paper by giving statistics in the amount of time spent on certain activities that have been replaced by technology. It is also useful to use statistics on the percentage of people who know how to do specific tasks. Essay on Audience Analysis Audience Analysis1 In this audience analysis, I have addressed a situation in which I am called on to present quarterly sales information at an in–person meeting to a group of stakeholders, including managers, salespeople, and customers. I will explain how I will address the communication to this audience by answering the following questions: (1) What characteristics of the audience must I consider?, (2) What communication channels are appropriate? (3) What are some considerations to keep in mind given the diversity of the audience?, and (4) How would I ensure that my message is effective? The characteristics of the audience that I must consider when addressing the audience are the primary stakeholders....show more content... • 3. Audience Analysis : My Audience Audience Analysis: My audience will consist of different age groups, genders, and educational background. For example, the audience members are made up of ages between 12 years old and 60 years old. Also, there is a diversity of educational background among each audience member. For instance, two audience members obtained a college degree, as for, three audience members they are still attending high school. For this reason, I desire to define assertiveness in demeanor for all ages and educational background to understand. Moreover, each audience member is related to me. Therefore, each member knows my name, personality, hobbies, parents, and where I live. Also, since my family is my audience members I then decided on an informal dress code. I believe my audience will appreciate the information on assertive communication and actions. For bullying has affected several audience members in the past. Therefore, I will conduct the speech in a serious and sympathetic manner. "Why is assertiveness one of the best methods against negative association and worthless thinking?" General purpose: Informative explanation speech Specific purpose: To inform my audience of why assertive communication is considered the elite method of communication. Organization pattern: Topical pattern Introduction I Attention–grabber: "Your Crazy!", "You are dumb and ugly" and "You will never become anything!" • 4. Influenza Advertisement Analysis Advertising is a complicated form of marketing, it's almost like an art form. One must be acutely aware of their audience and what captures their attention, otherwise the advertisement will fall flat. There is a myriad of different ways to lure consumers into buying a product; for example, the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) managed through a series of advertisements to convince individuals of the importance in getting a vaccination for the influenza virus. It was applied using multiple techniques, namely the methods of universal appeal and association. These techniques helped the CDC to effectively promotes the flu vaccine and get their message across to a wide range of people. In one of the advertisements the CDC uses universal appeal...show more content... Three small children are pictured laughing and sharing popcorn amongst themselves, along with the message, "Spread popcorn. Not flu," (Edgenuity). Using the association technique, it shows how of the two things mentioned, popcorn and the flu, popcorn is the item that should be shared, rather than the much sicklier alternative. This is enforced with the ad's informative message of, "Even healthy kids of any age can get sick from the flu, and they can spread it to family, friends, and others. Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every year," (Edgenuity). This successfully gets across that the flu is a serious illness that should not be spread, but that it is easily preventable with a flu vaccination. Parents may see this ad and worry about their child's safety; not only could their child get the flu, they could spread it to other children as well. Many parents may then go get a flu shot for their children in order to prevent that from happening. This ad effectively uses the association technique and spreads the important message in an informative and catchy way. For each of the three advertisements, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) uses different methods of displaying the intended message to their audience. In targeting a specific audience, they can hone in on what the audience can relate to and agree with, and create a message and way of displaying that message accordingly. • 5. Captive Audience Analysis Supplement Assignment: Captive Audience Before I began managing, I spent years focusing on marketing and how I could engage customers. During this time, much of my time was spent brainstorming strategies to pull the customer in, make them stop what they were doing, and actively listen. Collectively engaging an audience, all in one setting, is an outreach member's dream, such as captive audience speeches. Captive audience can be easily be explained as a meeting that the listener's onlookers have no choice but to attend. To have a captive audience, the presenter knows he/she has the listeners in a situation they are "unable to escape" or leave. Captive audiences exist all around us, but especially popular in the workplace. Captive Audience is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Audience Analysis Effective communication in the business world must be mastered to be successful in the competitive market. Individuals will need to learn about their audience to know the best way to convey their messages effectively. If individuals do not analyze their audience first, then their messages will be lost to some of the audience who may not understand the level of language. With diversity in the business environment, individuals must ensure that when they speak to an audience that they gear their message to everyone. When addressing a situation in which diversity is present, speakers must always design communication with the audience in mind. If the speaker does not know the audience then he or she will interpret the Chinese's eye contact to be surprised and not angered. The next consideration a speaker must keep in mind is that when presenting an oral communication, how the speaker carries his or her voice is crucial from the audience point of view. The speaker's tone of voice, whether rising or lowering the voice, indicates if he or she is uncertain or confident and whether the speaker is sincere or sarcastic. The pitch of the speaker's voice from low to high will determine the effectiveness of the presentation. Low–pitched voices are more pleasant to listen to than high–pitched voices; on the other hand, there are times when high–pitched voices are required such as to show excitement for goals met. Besides watching for the voice pitch, the speaker must remember to stress a word or words in the sentence to emphasize the main points of the presentation. Also the speaker must ensure the volume of his or her tone can be heard by the audience who sits in the back room without shouting. Speakers who change their tone, pitch, and stress as they speak are more enthusiastic, energetic, and more intelligent (Locker & Kienzler, 2008). To ensure the message is effective, the speaker must state the purpose of the meeting at the beginning and allow enough time to discuss any questions the audience may have. While making the presentation, the speaker needs to pay attention to the audience Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 8. Presentation Analysis Essay examples This memo examines the strengths and weaknesses of my presentation on March 19, 2010. In addition, the memo discusses my goals for improvement in future presentations as well as a review of Aly Sherali's presentation. Presentation Strengths My organization, voice, and passion were all strong points of my presentation. This allowed me to effectively engage my audience and convey my content in an efficient and logical way. Organization Tim Koegel, author of The Exceptional Presenter, explains that there are two essential facets of organizing a presentation: developing a structure that allows you to frame your objective and cover your material smoothly, and looking organized to your audience (Koegel, 31–32). I structured my slides and...show more content... Even if a presenter is the leading authority on a topic, being unprepared can signal the opposite to the audience and cause them to disengage before the presentation even starts (Koegel, 45). I arrived to the venue early, made sure my presentation was easily accessible, and checked to see if my slides worked correctly on the computer. This allowed me to efficiently and confidently lead off my presentation and ensure that I could capture the audience's attention. Voice The voice is a valuable tool to becoming an exceptional presenter (Koegel, 84). I used my voice as an effective asset throughout my presentation. My volume was at an effective level throughout the presentation and sounded confident. I also employed inflection in my voice on key points to maintain audience attention. According to studies, eighty–four percent of the impact you have comes from your voice, not your words. I was very careful to avoid monotone voice, which significantly shortens the attention span of an audience (Koegel, 84). I also took great care to eliminate any "verbal graffiti" as Koegel refers to it. Verbal graffiti is any non–essential "filler" words that distract the audience and dilute your impact (Koegel, 87). I practiced my presentation many times and was confident enough with the material that I did not fill my pauses with any filler words. I stayed focused on my content, which helped my audience to do

  • 11. Target Audience Analysis Paper In this paper, we analysed the target audience, big and small differences, content, and ways to improve the annual report. The Hershey Company's Annual Report and 10K have many differences and few similarities, where each document is written to communicate financial statement disclosures to its intended audience. Targeted Audiences for each Report The annual report and 10K are composed based on their different audiences. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's requires every public company to publish their finances in a 10K, and The Hershey Company is no exception. Hershey's 10K Report is 108 pages long, which is must shorter compared to the lengthy 233 page Annual Report. The 10K report is shorter because its focus is to present the information and not to beat around the bush. The Annual Report contains more content than the 10K because needs presentable to the stockholders. Adding the extra length gives the Annual Report space to connect with their audience in a professional, yet friendly manner. The reports also differ through the useage of color. The Annual Report uses the colors of brown and silver to stimulate the thought of Hershey candy. Adding the color makes the report more appealing to the everyday reader. On the other hand, the 10K report uses no color, sticking to black and white. This keeps the report professional and presents the information in the simplest way possible. Another way the documents differ in presenting their big ideas is through the use of pictures, graphs, and charts. A major difference seen between the reports is the Annual Report's pictures of the board's directors. The Annual Report also uses bar graphs and pie charts, while the 10K report sticks to general charts and tables. • 12. Audience Analysis Audience Audience Analysis 1.Audience analysis is the most important part of the writing process for technical writers because each piece of correspondence must be personalized to whatever demographic you are writing to. Age, culture, and beliefs of the reader must be considered and taken into account before anything is sent out. I totally agree with this. If I work at an office and I send a memo to other co–workers I would write it differently than if it was to s boss or other superiors. The way I communicate with a friend that is around my age is different than someone that is older than me. Also if I am writing to someone that doesn't speak English as a first language I have to be careful with the words that I use. I need to make sure that they can clearly understand me. The subject, tone, sentence structure and how the audience will react all must be taken into account when writing any type of document. 2.The four types of audiences are a.Experts b.Technicians c.Executives d.Nonspecialists...show more content... • 13. Ethnographic Audience Analysis What does it take to prepare a successful speech? There are many factors to take into account when becoming an effective speaker. First, I need to make sure that I am audience–centered. This means that I will need to "keep the audience foremost in mind at every step of speech preparation and presentation." This means that I need to take into consideration the demographic and situational factors. Demographic audience analysis is when I focus the audience's demographic factors such as age and gender. For example, when doing a presentation in a classroom setting, I will need to adjust my speech to make it less formal and more humourous because the audience is students who are in their late teens. This will help gain the interest of my classmates. In order for this to happen, we need to stop being ethnocentric. "Ethnocentrism is a part of every culture and can affect one's ability to communicate effectively." Values that are likely to resonate with the audience would be religion, culture, andsexual orientation. For many of us, these define our background. It provides us strength and identity. Belonging to these groups unite people together because of a shared or similar value and state of mind. These will be the common interests that they share. • 16. Audience-Centered Communication Analysis Audience–centered communication allows successful communication between the speaker and the audience. The speaker evaluates the audience to ascertain the subject matter, what the audience expects and the appropriate language usage to promote a connection. This allows the speaker to customize the message so the audience's needs are addressed. "Your job is to express your ideas so clearly that your audience cannot misinterpret them." (Oliu, 2013, p. 7) This approach can be used to deliver any information as long as you are aware of your audience. It is important to use it to your advantage whether you are delivering the message through a presentation, memorandum or email. If you are not connecting with your audience, it increases the risk of failing to understand or misinterpreting the message. Likewise, if you deliver information above the level of some listeners, you also risk losing their interest. There are many considerations to keep in mind when using the audience centered approach.
