1. Oana-Maria Burlacu, VP ICX Corporate in Timisoara, Romania.
,
I was born on the 30th of May 1989 in Lugoj, Romania and I currently live in Timisoara. I
attended the secondary and high school at a National College, Coriolan Brediceanu, one of the
most valued schools in Lugoj, in the Mathematics
Mathematics-Informatics class. After finishing my high
school I decided to attend the University also so I choose the West University, Faculty of
Economic and Business Administration, Management department. I graduated and now I am a
d
first year master student on the Human Resources Management department.
One of the things that I enjoy most is the art. I am not talented at painting, drawing, singing or
playing at a musical instrument but I love theater. During high school I was part of the local
theater group for 3 years. In that period I dreamed of attending the Faculty of Theater but it
wasn’t possible so I choose another faculty, Business Administration beca because this was my
second passion, to lead.
Being in Timisoara opened a lot of opportunities for me, and one of them was AIESEC. I choose this organization because I fel that
felt
trough it I can contribute to someone life, I can create opportunities for them, and I can change, maybe, the course of their life. This
and
was my motivation because this is what I felt when I first interacted with the organization, in AIESEC University, a project that later
on I was going to work on it.
At the begging of my AIESEC career I was a loud, messy foolish girl with a very annoying voice. This was the first impression for most
r
of the people. After a while they got used to it and saw that I was just an ambitious and passionate girl with big dreams and hopes. I
took part in many teams and projects and I learned a lot from each of them, I event went on an GCDP to experience more, but these
eams
were only the steps in accomplish my bigger dream in AIESEC, becoming part of the EB team. So I applied for VP ICX Corporate in
AIESEC Timisoara. This experience was one of the most important experiences in my learning about myself, about the people around
me, about the world. I had the opportunity to constant challenge myself, to give back to the organization, to be part of some
someone life, to
make a change, as small as it is, to learn that with passion, commitment, dedication and heart you can achieve amazing things.
I know that a new opportunity has come for me, a chance to create a bigger impact, to change more lives, to become better, as MCVP
Corporate Development in AIESEC in Romania.
