Recognizing God’s sacred
design for childbirth
The Midwives Model of Care is a
fundamentally different approach to
pregnancy and childbirth than
contemporary obstetrics, and is
based on the fact that pregnancy
and birth are normal life events.
Midwifery care is uniquely
nurturing, hands-on care before,
during, and after birth. Midwives are
trained to provide comprehensive
prenatal care and education, guide
labor and birth, address
complications, and care for
newborns. The application of this
model has been proven to reduce to
incidence of birth injury, trauma,
and cesarean section.
I offer a free no-stress consultation
appointment, giving us the
opportunity get to know one another
and ask questions.

I am Bryant Sarensen.
Lover of mommas, births, and babies.
Homeschool graduate.
Tea drinker and real food enthusiast.
I am an apprentice trained homebirth
midwife, and my experience includes
over 135 births. In addition, I worked
at a missions birthing center in the
Philippines in 2014, where I delivered
babies and provided prenatal,
postpartum, and well woman care to
hundreds of women.
Why Homebirth?
Studies have repeatedly shown that
planned homebirth with a skilled
birth attendant is as safe, or safer,
than hospital birth for women with
normal, healthy, uncomplicated
pregnancies.
The benefits of homebirth include:
freedom of movement and choice
of position, freedom to eat and
drink in labor, decreased risk of
infection and disease, decreased
risk of complications, no forced
exams or interventions, no time
limits on normal labor and birth,
respectful, personalized, individual
care, empowering and encouraging
support, trust in the woman’s
ability to birth naturally, a
physiologically intact atmosphere
that promotes early bonding and
involvement of the whole family,
establishment of a healthy
breastfeeding relationship, and a
peaceful, private and familiar
environment that is free of
disruptions and distractions.
Homebirth is a wonderful choice
for healthy women who want to
experience birthing their baby in a
place where they feel free, safe, and
private.

Philosophy of Care
Because I believe God created pregnancy
and birth as sacred, fundamentally
normal, physiological processes, I commit
to respect and protect the birth process,
in order to help each woman birth
naturally, safely and confidently. Essential
components of holistic care include
attentive, skilled, and evidence-based
support, establishing a caring atmosphere,
education and empowerment of the
mother to make her own decisions about
her care, encouraging her self-expression,
respecting her privacy, limiting
interventions, and the appropriate use of
nutritional and non-allopathic remedies.
Through each pregnancy and birth, my
goal is to recognize and respect God’s
sacred design, and to facilitate and
maintain atmosphere that brings glory
and honor to Him. My deepest desire is
that each woman would experience the
strength and comfort that is available to
her in Christ, and that through
childbirth, she would find His grace to
be sufficient in a new way.
