As of to date,the Participating National Societies who are doing the Water and Sanitation interventions
and completing latrines in schools and associated with core shelter is now increasing the number of
completion. Below, we have now 5,385 toilets associated with core shelter completed with an
ongoing of 353 units, and 8 Latrine in School completed.

- Conducted 4-day training on Entrepreneurship and Management. 3 associations joined
the training with a total of 50 participants.
 Agriculture Activity:
- Completed Rice production & management training in Mac Arthur. A total of 38
beneficiaries participated in the training.

- Impact assessments: House to house survey done.To date, team is now inputting data
to the ODK.

- On-going hands-on training on community-based food processing at San
Isidro and silk-screen printing at Calubian.

motorcycle servicing at Brgy. Gimarco.
 Enterprise Development
- Meeting with the beneficiaries at Brgy. Inangatan for their proposals.
- 5 proposals were approved by the PARC (Project Appraisals and Review
Committee) at Calubian.
 Phase III
- Coordinated with the LGU for a site visit at Brgy. Villanueva, Calubian. Visited one
site at Brgy. Inangatan, Tabango.
- Meeting with beneficiaries at Brgy. Abanilla, Calubian regarding phase 3
implementation and next week the group will have an orientation.
 Other Activities
- The team together with some of the trainees went to Tacloban to celebrate the
2nd Haiyan commemoration at Robinsons Place.They were ableto showcase their
outputs of what they have learned in the training like atchara, alimango,

- Continued focus group discussion with beneficiaries to ask updates of their livelihood
activity. This is to finalize the potential list of benficiaries for the short term livelihood
trainings.

Villahermosa, Julita
- Conducted orientation for the upcoming short term livelihood trainings Basic Business
Skills and Root Crop-Based Food Processing, Bongdo of Julita and brgy,Tigabao, Dulag
- FollowupcoordinationinDepartmentofTrade andIndustry(DTI),Officeof the Provincial
Agriculturist (OPA), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) for the short term livelihood
trainings, and Department of Education for school gardening.
 Other Activities
- Took part in the Inauguration of Cabatoan Health Center and TESDA Carpentry and
Masonry NCII training Graduation Ceremonies
- Meeting with the Inclusion Adviser of Handicap International for the upcoming kick off
activity for Persons with Disabilities.

 Phase II: Weekly monitoring for sholars
- All of the scholars are done with their OJT. There are still 9 scholars who are
neither done with their OJT nor employed. This is due to:
1. Financial constraints as they used their allowance for their family
2. Problem in the partner companies like students were there but not doing
anything so they opted to go home and not continue their OJT
3. Pregnant
- Employement coaching done facilitated by PESO. PESO informed the students
that they are allowed to visit the office to seek validation in their resume.
- There are a total of 56 scholars who are currently employed in different areas of
Tacloban. Up to date, students are complying with their needed requirements for
job application
 Phase III:

- Procurement of construction materials done. Materials have been delivered to the
construction site. Repair of storage has started.
 2nd
batch of proposals
- 3 proposals have been approved by NHQ as per advice. Associations are currently
workingonthe attachementsneeded,signatoriesfromLGUand endorsementletter
from Mayor.
- Trainings and procurement of materials will be scheduled next week.

suggested that team will talk to possible companies that are in need of employers.
- Team has identified 31 possible youth for interview and validation.

- Proposal preparationinBarangayPlanza.Review andvalidationof proposal withrelative
LGU partners will be scheduled next week.

 Promoting Composting and Natural Farming System in Backyard Gardening
- A total of 17 weeks has been used for the training. There will be one week of training
before the graduation. Below shows the attendance of participants per week.
Attendance of participants was an issue in the 1st
batch and one factor that they saw is
the age and willingness thus the team intervene through focus group discussion and
included some factors like age and willingness as one of the criteria selection. As per
observation, attendance has improved.

- In Puting Bato, Isabel, beneficiaries have started to harvest and earned money from

status of the activity.

- Last November 10, 2015, 25 beneficiaries celebrated the culmination ceremony of the
Farmers Business School in Merida. They were awarded with certificates.

 Phase I: Micro Enterprise Development
- A requestforquotationisneededfortheprofessionalfeesof the trainers.UPhas already
filled-upthe quotationformbutSt. Paulsis still waitingforthe logical frameworkof the
micro-enterprise development.
- Monitoredthe 420 livelihoodbeneficiaries.Thisisto checkthe statusof theirlivelihood
and to update the Phase I masterlist. Results will be shared in the next report.
 Phase II:
 Skills Training
- Up to date, 24 scholars are already having their OJTs. 5 F&B scholars have an
assignmentalreadybutwillstartonNov.16,2015. 2 housekeepingscholars started
havingtheirOJT at AsiaStars Hotel while 1 scholardid not continue due to family
problems. Team will discuss the situation with CWMFI and will suggest that the
scholar will be accommodated at the hotel in Tolosa
- EmploymentcoachingwasheldlastNovember10,2015. 29 scholarsattended,one
scholar was not able to attend due to some family problem.
 Enterprise Development
- Will meet with the associations to explain the status of the program. Minutes of
the meeting will be shared in the next report.
 Advocacy on Illegal Fishing and Overfishing
- The following are the proposed activities for the advocacy:
1. Documentary screening and information dissemination in the 8 barangays of
Tolosa.
2. Differentcontestslike;Jingle making,slogan,mural andstorywritingwill beheld
which will involve the different schools from elementary to college.
3. Information Dissemination through radio program.
4. Distribution of IEC Materials
- A stakeholders’ meeting will be held to discuss the appropriateness of the different
activities for the advocacy. The tentative schedule is on the 3rd
week of November.
 Other Activities:
- The BRCmembersfromthe 15barangayswere invitedforameetingtoshare the updates
of the differentprojectsinTolosa.A self-evaluationwasconductedforthe BRCmembers
to evaluate their performance and also for PRC to know the needs of the BRC.

A total of 38 beneficiaries participated in the training. PRC – Australian Red Cross  Phase I - Impact assessments: House to house survey done.To date, team is now inputting data to the ODK.  Phase II  SkillsTraining - On-going hands-on training on community-based food processing at San Isidro and silk-screen printing at Calubian. - Interviewed and identified additional beneficiaries for the training on motorcycle servicing at Brgy. Gimarco.  Enterprise Development - Meeting with the beneficiaries at Brgy. Inangatan for their proposals. - 5 proposals were approved by the PARC (Project Appraisals and Review Committee) at Calubian.  Phase III - Coordinated with the LGU for a site visit at Brgy. PRC – International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies  Phase II: Weekly monitoring for sholars - All of the scholars are done with their OJT. There are still 9 scholars who are neither done with their OJT nor employed. This is due to: 1. Financial constraints as they used their allowance for their family 2. Problem in the partner companies like students were there but not doing anything so they opted to go home and not continue their OJT 3. Pregnant - Employement coaching done facilitated by PESO. PESO informed the students that they are allowed to visit the office to seek validation in their resume. - There are a total of 56 scholars who are currently employed in different areas of Tacloban. Up to date, students are complying with their needed requirements for job application  Phase III:  1st batchof proposals - Procurement of construction materials done. Materials have been delivered to the construction site. Repair of storage has started.  2nd batch of proposals - 3 proposals have been approved by NHQ as per advice. PRC – International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies - Babatngon  Phase I - Finalization of monitoring report.  Phase II - To avoidincrease numbersof trainedbutunemployedscholars,teamconductedFGDto the possible barangays that will be covered for Phase II. Agenda were: 1. Mapped out their market connections in Tacloban 2. Possible courses that are marketable 3. Possible challenges in employing scholars - Team discussedthe possible programwiththe focal personof HealthandEducation.He said that they have a lot of NCII passers in Babatngon that are still unemployed. He suggested that team will talk to possible companies that are in need of employers. - Team has identified 31 possible youth for interview and validation.  Phase III - Proposal preparationinBarangayPlanza.Review andvalidationof proposal withrelative LGU partners will be scheduled next week. PRC – Netherlands Red Cross  Promoting Composting and Natural Farming System in Backyard Gardening - A total of 17 weeks has been used for the training. There will be one week of training before the graduation. Below shows the attendance of participants per week. Attendance of participants was an issue in the 1st batch and one factor that they saw is the age and willingness thus the team intervene through focus group discussion and included some factors like age and willingness as one of the criteria selection. Constantmonitoringhasbeendone for the update and status of the activity.  Farmers Business School - Last November 10, 2015, 25 beneficiaries celebrated the culmination ceremony of the Farmers Business School in Merida. They were awarded with certificates. PRC – Spanish Red Cross  Phase I: Micro Enterprise Development - A requestforquotationisneededfortheprofessionalfeesof the trainers.UPhas already filled-upthe quotationformbutSt. Paulsis still waitingforthe logical frameworkof the micro-enterprise development. - Monitoredthe 420 livelihoodbeneficiaries.Thisisto checkthe statusof theirlivelihood and to update the Phase I masterlist. Results will be shared in the next report.  Phase II:  Skills Training - Up to date, 24 scholars are already having their OJTs. 5 F&B scholars have an assignmentalreadybutwillstartonNov.16,2015. 2 housekeepingscholars started havingtheirOJT at AsiaStars Hotel while 1 scholardid not continue due to family problems. Team will discuss the situation with CWMFI and will suggest that the scholar will be accommodated at the hotel in Tolosa - EmploymentcoachingwasheldlastNovember10,2015. 29 scholarsattended,one scholar was not able to attend due to some family problem.  Enterprise Development - Will meet with the associations to explain the status of the program. Minutes of the meeting will be shared in the next report.  Advocacy on Illegal Fishing and Overfishing - The following are the proposed activities for the advocacy: 1. Documentary screening and information dissemination in the 8 barangays of Tolosa. 2. Differentcontestslike;Jingle making,slogan,mural andstorywritingwill beheld which will involve the different schools from elementary to college. 3. Information Dissemination through radio program. 4. Distribution of IEC Materials - A stakeholders’ meeting will be held to discuss the appropriateness of the different activities for the advocacy. The tentative schedule is on the 3rd week of November.  Other Activities: - The BRCmembersfromthe 15barangayswere invitedforameetingtoshare the updates of the differentprojectsinTolosa.A self-evaluationwasconductedforthe BRCmembers to evaluate their performance and also for PRC to know the needs of the BRC.
