Yoga
At
The CORE Institute
I. Executive Summary
Corporate yoga classes are designed to promote health and wellness in the workplace. Incorporating yoga
classes as a part of the health and wellness program provides employees with the techniques to manage stress and
promote movement throughout the day. The vision is to provide a safe and comfortable space where people can
discover and evolve by connecting with others and one’s true self through movement and meditation. By providing a
space for people to relax and learn to view life with an open heart, the class will ensure a loving environment with a
sense of calm and joy that we hope to extend to the entire community.
The goal of this program is not only to provide personal benefit to the employees, but also to benefit The
CORE Institute by cutting costs linked to sick days, employee turnover, and healthcare benefits. The intent is to
increase employee morale and performance.
The anticipated start date of the class will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015at 6:15 AM. The classes will be
offered free of charge to all employees twice a week at the North Phoenix location to begin. Morning and evening
classes will be available. The classes will focus on breathing, meditation, stretching, and strengthening the body. The
structure will allow one to be more aware of their emotions and how to better deal with situations and create a
work-life balance.
II. Services
a. Classes
The design of this program is to increase mood, motivation, and productivity for the employees. My classes
will offer a practice that includes meditation, stress relief, and physical movement. I will focus on providing
techniques that one can take back with them to utilize throughout the day.
The pilot program will begin on Wednesday, August 26th
. Classes will be offered twice a week at the North
Phoenix location to start. See appendix for a more detailed schedule of classes. Morning classes will provide
meditation and breath (pranayama) work as well as a slow flow that will guide you through poses that are held
longer to build stability and endurance. Evening classes will also include meditation and breath (pranayama) work but
will be an energetic flow, which is a dynamic practice that focuses on movement and breath awareness to build a
deeper connection of the energetic body while increasing physical strength.
All attendees are required to wear athletic clothing for the class. Please keep in mind our corporate
environment. Yoga pants and/or loose clothing are recommended. Please be aware of the length of your shorts and
tops. Socks and shoes are not permitted in the classroom. Flip flops are acceptable; however, they will be removed at
the door. Employees are encouraged to bring their own water and towel to the class.
a. Pricing
The CORE Institute has a significant focus on their employee’s health and wellness. We encourage our
employees to participate in several programs and challenges throughout the year. Introducing Yoga to the company
will align with the vision of the wellness services. These classes will be offered twice a week and will be free of charge
for all employees of the company.
The instructor for the offered classes will be a certified and registered yoga teacher. The instructor will begin to
develop and implement a pilot program. At this point, the instructor will be compensated $75 per class. As the yoga
program becomes successful, the cost for the instructor will increase to $150 per class. Upon succession, the
company will collaborate with Moksha Yoga Phx to further expand the services to other CORE Clinics in the Valley.
III. Strategy and Implementation
a. SWOT Analysis
This program is highly anticipated by the whole company. To ensure success, a SWOT analysis has been
constructed to further understand the strengths and weaknesses of the program and to identify
opportunities and threats that may arise. Below are the foreseeable strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,
and threats.
b. Marketing
The pilot program will be announced and marketed via corporate communication to the employees two
weeks prior to the start date. The class will also be communicated verbally as well as posting flyers throughout the
break rooms. CORE Connect will be another potential outlet to inform employees on upcoming classes and
announcements.
Prior to participation, all employees are required to complete a waiver on the Learning Management System
(LMS) site. A link will be provided via corporate communication/ CORE Connect. In addition, all employees will be

required to sign up for a class date and time on the LMS site, every time. This will help prepare space availability for
all attendees. However, walk-ins are welcome, but are limited due to space availability and equipment.
IV. Financial Plan
The CORE Institute has awarded me $1,000 to implement the yoga program. With this award, I will
be purchasing equipment for the program. The award will also cover the cost for the instructor for
pilot classes. Below is a detailed table of what has been ordered, what is pending, and the costs
associated with it. In addition to equipment, my goal is to also purchase mat cleaners and paper
towels.

V. Measures of Success
The success of the program will be based on the number of participants. In order to stay successful
there will need to be a consistent showing by CORE employees to all classes offered. The goal of the
pilot program will be to have a minimum of ten employees attending all classes offered (see
appendix). As the class becomes successful and expands to other locations the minimum number to
measure success will vary based off of number of employees at each location.
