A presentation on my thoughts of how we can help the disadvantaged now.

1. Spread the word about how
to effectively help those that
are disadvantaged using
SOCIAL MEDIA.

2. Social media is a powerful tool in
our generation.

3. According to the Global Digital Report 2018,
out of the approximately 7.7 billion people
on the earth today, 3.2 billion people use
social media.

4. This is almost half of the
worlds population that
is on social media!

5. If we can spread the word about the correct
way to help those in need through social
media, we can reach far more people than
word of mouth, old marketing techniques, etc.

6. We should teach
people that instead
of just giving, we
need to have a
more partnership
approach by
teaching skills that
can help them, help
themselves.

There is much proof that shows how the world
reacts to help those that are affected by
natural disasters.

8. According to the article on Crowdsourcing
Power after the Haiti earthquake, “In just 48
hours, the Red Cross received US $8 million in
donations directly from texts.”

9. If we can shift the mindset of the world’s
population to be partnership vs. paternalism,
third world countries would have a better
opportunity to stand on their own.
