(Carousel of 3 different sessions. Children
will be split into 3 separate groups. 2 adults
per group. The first place that is visited will
be that groups focus topic. When return to
school all information collected from focus
topic will be presented back to the class as a
whole)

Week 5- lesson 1 Royal Pavilion  To know and understand
why the Royal Pavilion was
used as a military hospital in
WW1
 To understand the role of a
WW1 nurse
 To make comparisons
between nurses today and
those in WW1
 To visit the pavilion and do the worksheets provided.
 To ask the tour guide questions on the role of WW1
nurses
 To produce labeled pictures of the Pavilion when it
was a hospital
The Sea Front  To know and understand
why Brighton has many
hotels
 To know and understand the
concept of erosion with
relation to smooth pebbles
 To know the different
animals that may live in or
near the sea
 To understand the concept of
tides
 Choose a building on the sea front to complete an
observational drawing of
 to walk along the shore- choose a pebble to draw-
explain why its smooth with reference to erosion.
 To draw any animals that are seen
 To tally the transport that they see on the seafront
The Pier  To know and understand
what is meant by tourism
 To know why people visit
Brighton
 To ask people to partake in their questionnaires as to
why they are visiting Brighton
 Calculate how many are there as tourists
