• Responsible for SQL database-related activities in the MyAppsAnywhere hosted application division of
NetStandard.
o Primary SQL Server resource for the company in a Senior DBA capacity.
o Responsible for management of 100+ SQL Server instances across approximately 40 servers,
all virtualized using VMware.
o Designed backup solution using maintenance plans with destination file server running
Windows Server 2012 with deduplication on a separate VMware host cluster for redundancy.

o NetStandard’s MyAppsAnywhere division hosts applications for the Microsoft Dynamics line
which includes GP, SL, and AX ERP solutions, CRM, and SharePoint. All of these
applications use SQL Server as the back end database, which fell under my responsibility.
o Supported Tessitura ticketing system for the arts for a couple of major clients in the KC area.
Uses SQL Server on the back end, and would be responsible for custom stored procedures and
reports using both SSRS and Infomaker. Often included data repair.
o Had a few situations where a reseller would try to blame poor performance on our
infrastructure. In one case, it was a poorly written trigger. Made some modifications, and time
for inserts dropped from 3 seconds to 0.15 seconds.
o Assist CRM & GP resources in the writing of SQL queries for their projects.
Senior Systems Engineer – Data Protection (10/12 – 5/13)
• Responsible for overseeing DataSafe backup service for NetStandard clients using Asigra, CommVault,
VRanger, and StoreGrid backup and data protection products.
o Dealt with failed primary NAS used for backup storage within first month, orchestrating a recovery
that minimized loss of historical data.
o Used Linux for several products (Suse Linux, OpenFiler on rPath distro) , especially using NFS
and iSCSI for mount points and storage connectivity.

• Implemented and configured Cloupia (web-based Virtual Data Center management tool)

o Configured requisite policies for each new MSP to allow them to self provision within the
boundaries defined by the policies, including IP range, hostname, datastore, template used, domain,
etc.
• Developed many Powershell (Microsoft) and PowerCLI (VMware) scripts for automating system

o PowerCLI scripts run from single server extracted usage statistics from vCenter servers in multiple
data centers and exported to formatted CSV files for billing purposes for OS33.
o Implemented and customized vCheck scripts for monitoring of all datacenter clusters
o Automated, scripted testing of ESXi host to verify full working functionality of host including
working NICs and all attached VLANs.
o Automated script that would move VMs provisioned by MSPs through Cloupia to their proper
folder.
