Profile
I can turn my hand to most types of work. I am an experienced welder/supervisor, predominantly
TIG/MIG welding. I have worked on many projects, some more intricate than others and include
working for customers such as Rolls Royce, where the work needed to be of an extremely high
standard and coded, have also done work for B,N,F,L, NASA, Garret turbine engines , I have also
spent some time owning my own business and have been for last few years using my extensive
knowledge back in the welding trade.
I have also been a Taxi driver, laborer, done maintenance on basic equipment using hand tools and
electric tools, and a shop keeper (owner). In 2003 I did get a counter balance fork lift licenses but I let
it expirer as I no longer needed it. In 2013 I sat a CSCS health and safety course and a S.P.A. safety
passport (MPQC), and then went on to take a CPCS test on articulated dump truck and road roller. I
am always looking to learn new things and do more courses in different types of work. In February
2013 I shut the shop down and since then have been working for agencies doing all kinds of work
from roller, dumper driving, driving a road sweeper to welding.
Experience
February 2013- to present
Have been working for agencies doing Tig and Mig fabricating and welding on all types of work from
general welding on mild steel fabrications to welding stainless steel and aluminum stair cases and
baloneys in box section and sheet metal, and have been working on stainless steel exhausts for large
trucks which had to be presser tested, have also done some work for Knorr Bremse RailServices on
a refurb rail carriage, and have been working for a medium sized company running there welding
shop buying new equipment and tooling to make their jobs run smother and on time for big names like
Bentley, Aston martin. Have also done some automotive welding on 3mm 5mm and 10 mm sheet
metal using overlay hardened alloy. Also have spent time working in the construction industry on
articulated dump trucks and road rollers

Have been working here on and off for the past 8 years, part time, driving rear tipping dumper trucks,

general laboring. At the time of working here we did not need CPCS cards but have since done

Over the years here did work away from home a lot on different jobs. In 1999 we had a big mild steel
welding job that I had to get coded for which I passed but never kept the coding up, after this I did a
lot more Mig welding fabricating work on small and large box section there was also a lot of work for a
water company were we had to fabricate very large water tanks in 5mm stainless steel which had to
be welded inside and out.

staff as charge hand, plus lots of site work all over the country.
Weldsure Biggleswade November 1989 - March 1996
