I have had various jobs over the years each with their own challenges
and each being quite different. However one thing has remained
constant in each and every one of my roles and that is dealing with
people of varying degrees of importance. I have learned from my early
years how to talk to people and how to engage them in the right manner.

I undertookthis role after completing design work for The People’s
World. This role developed over time to include working on concept
designs for The People’s World Social Business network. Many of these
concepts and designs nowform the base for the framework the current
network is running.

2. Designer / Web Store Manager, Hockey Wrap Around
Essex— 2014
I was asked to help design and set up the website
www.hockeywraparound.com as well as perform any needed updates
for products or pages as and when requested.This started off as a small
job, but has quickly been an integral part of the success ofthe Hockey
Wrap Around product.Part of this was also to help promote the product
in hockey circles.
Accomplishments
● Learned the eCommerce framework so I could build the site to
the best of my ability
● Setting up and running the social network during initial setup
● Taking on tasks that I was unfamiliar with and succeeding with
them
PR / Critic, Gamestyle.com
Essex— 2010-Present
My initial role within Gamestyle was as a games reviewer but I quickly
developed a passion for undertaking all of Gamestyle's PR needs.I
enjoyed the challenge of running PR for such a fast paced and dynamic
site and I have since taken over the complete running of the Gamestyle
site and have successfully brought in a new team of writers to keep the
site fresh and independent.
Accomplishments
● Successfully undertaking a PR role, whilst also continuing to
work as a reviewer
● Keeping the site online and operational despite a major denial
of service hack in 2012 which resulted in a loss of all data.
● Seeing a 14% increase in unique hits in 2014 and implementing
new media features to the site
● Improving our relationship with publishers and developers over
the last 3 years through careful cultivation
3. Team Leader, Vertex
Liverpool — 2005-2008
Initially I was employed in a customer service role within the Vertex
Call Centre. I progressed within the company in a short space of time
taking on and successfully dealing with more responsibility within my
new role as Team Leader. Additionally at this time I also worked closely
with Marks & Spencer and Amazon as a Business Acceptance and User
Acceptance Tester. Both firms collaborated with each other using
Amazon's own systemto improve the website of Marks & Spencer and
their internal ordering systems.

I started working in my local Off Licence as a store clerk, but after a

relocated up north.
