 Better soil is conserved, the more water stored
 88,000 ha commercial forestry which reduces stream flow by 64 million 𝑚3
per annum
 Forestry is subject to stream flow reduction tax as it is classified stream flow reduction activity
 Alien invasive trees consume 7.2 million 𝑚3 per annum
– this is the annual water requirement for 100,000 people
 Farmers irrigation use 58 million 𝑚3
per annum
