2. Oxygen is quintessential for survival of life on
the planet
• Human life is based on oxygen i.e. 21%
optimized level. We cannot live without it for
even more than three minutes.
• Due to extreme pollution levels in Indian
cities, the oxygen level has gone down to
18%.
• Research shows our life is shortened by
approximately 9 years, if we are living in a
city like Delhi.
• Human brain uses maximum oxygen of all
the organs. Our brain keeps developing till
the age of seven years. Pregnant mothers
need 20% more oxygen.
• Optimum levels of oxygen, boost our
immunity and improve our overall health.
Oxygen
3. Ideally, air should have a composition of 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen, and 1%
other gases; this is the air you breathe in the mountains. Unfortunately, the
oxygen level in our cities is very low, and it is even lower in our homes and
offices.

4. Oxygen in Delhi-NCR Air
We measured the levels
of oxygen at various
places in Delhi-NCR.
The levels were far
below the adequate
requirement for a healthy
and vital life.
As per Occupational
Safety and Health
Association (OSHA),
USA, less than 19.5%
oxygen level is an
Oxygen Deprived
Environment.
This might create
coronary, pulmonary and
circulatory problems in
human body.
5. Indoor Air Quality
The air inside our homes and offices, or any occupied enclosed space is
termed as Indoor Air. Wherever there are people or animals in an enclosed
space there is a progressive decrease in oxygen levels.
• Pollution kills more people than wars and terrorism today.
• “Indoor air is up to 5 times worse than outdoor”: Environmental Protection
Agency
• “Air quality is the single biggest environmental hazard in the world”: WHO
• 72% of the toxic chemicals are found indoor (under level)
• Annually more than 9 million people in India die due to pollution related
diseases, and more than 1.2 million people dies due to bad indoor air.
• Pollution effects are as small as burning eyes and itchy throats, to as large
as breathing problems and even deaths.
6. Know your Breaths
• We take 20,000 breaths each day.
• On an average we breath 12 times
per minute.
• Oxygen is absorbed by our blood in
the lungs and carbon dioxide is
released, therefore indoor air has
less oxygen than the outdoor
Breathing (respiration or ventilation) is the process of moving air in and out
of the lungs, to facilitate gas exchange with the internal environment, mostly
by bringing in oxygen and flushing out carbon dioxide
ExhaleInhale
The air we breathe in our homes and offices is full of chemicals and is
oxygen deficient. Just imagine what this air does to your health and body?
7. What is Indoor Air Pollution?
Air
Pollution
Excess
CO2
Chemicals
and Gases
Lack of
oxygen
Dust
particles:
PM 2.5 &
PM 10
Air pollution can be defined as the presence of toxic chemicals or
compounds (including those of biological origin) in the air, at levels that pose
a health risk.
Indoor Air Pollution is caused by:
8. Curing the Air Pollution
Indoor Air pollution can be reduced by
targeting all the causes individually.
To take of some of the causes, there
are products available in the market.
Lack of pollutants in the air doesn’t
mean it is enough, if it doesn’t have
optimum oxygen levels.
Indoor Air Purifier is just a
dust filter, it cannot improve
air quality.
Just like milk quality is determined by
its fat content, the air quality is
determined by its oxygen level.

9. Problems We Have Identified
Cities have low oxygen
Air pollution can be seen from 3 perspectives:
- Excessive dust (PM 2.5, PM 10)
- High carbon dioxide
- Low oxygen level
People are addressing the problem of carbon
and dust particles, even toxic gases. But
nobody is talking about oxygen
Pure air—the kind found in the mountains—has
21% oxygen (78% nitrogen and 1% other
gases)
In our cities, the level of oxygen in outdoor air
is about 18%
Indoor, it is even less—16 to 18%--depending
upon the kind of ventilation one has
In some places like gyms, it even falls to 15%
Why is oxygen low in cities?
Trees produce oxygen. Our cities are becoming
bereft of green cover
Increase in automobile density: 1 litre of
petrol/diesel requires 10,000 litres of air
Buildings have even lower oxygen
Wherever there is a closed space and
breathing creatures—man or animal--within it,
there would be a progressive reduction in
oxygen and increase in carbon dioxide
Our offices are great examples of poorly
ventilated closed spaces
Popular fallacy
Unlike what is generally believed, air-
conditioners only circulate indoor air, they do
not get fresh air from outside, or have the
capability to improve the quality of indoor air
Manifestation
Low oxygen saps vitality and overworks the
immune system
Impact
Loss of work productivity
Poor health and Respiratory problems

11. Harmful Effects of Low Oxygen
Wherever there are people or animals in an enclosed space there is a
progressive decrease in oxygen. Lack of oxygen in the body causes:
• Confusion, Restlessness, Headache, Shortness of Breath, Rapid Breathing,
Dizziness, Lack of Coordination, Rapid Heart Rate, Elevated Blood
Pressure, Visual Disturbances, Weaker Immune System, Coughing/
Gasping, Muscle Cramps
• As per Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), USA, less than
19.5% oxygen is an ‘Oxygen Deprived Environment’. It can create coronary,
pulmonary and circulatory problems in human body
• Oxygen is the fuel of our body, so lack of oxygen puts extra load on our
organ like heart and lungs to fulfill the body requirements (imagine running a
device on low voltage which will eventually damage the device)
Exposure to low levels of oxygen for extended time periods can cause
Hypoxemia and weaken your body’s natural immunity and resilience.
12. OxyMax : Oxygen Optimizer
Bonphul OxyMax works like your partner for life. It takes oxygen from the
outside air and pumps it into your house and office, creating a pure and
healthy mountain-like atmosphere, of your own.
Bonphul OxyMax oxygen optimizer works on PSA technology universalized
by NASA, to increase the concentration of oxygen in indoor air for the
residential and commercial segments. PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) is a
popular technology used by massive manufacturing plants for gas
separation. Bonphul OxyMax uses the same technology in a miniature form.

15. Step By Step Work Flow
• The Air Compressor pushes the Medical
grade filtered air to the valve assembly.
• The valve controls the flow of air, to Tower
1 and 2.
• In the first cycle the valve pushes the air to
Tower 1 and the Zeolite in Tower 1
catches the nitrogen and other gases and
the oxygen is released and collected in the
oxygen collection Tank.
• Now the valve pushes the air to Tower 2
and nitrogen in Tower1 is flushed out at
the same time and Tower 2 starts making
oxygen which is again collected in the
oxygen collection Tank.
• This process is repeated again and again
and oxygen collection Tank gives
continuous oxygen output (in litre per
minute - LPM)
• This is a regenerating process which
produces 100% natural oxygen through
PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption)
Zeolite
16. Ease of Installation
Bonphul OxyMax is available in standard capacities of 5/10/20/50 LPM (litres
per minute). While a 5 LPM machine is suitable for a standard bedroom, a
20 LPM can take of a 2-3 bedroom home.
One OxyMax 20 unit can be connected
to multiple indoor units for even
distribution of oxygenated air
throughout your space.
All indoor units can be individually
controlled for optimum utilisation.
OxyMax uses half electricity
for the same size of room
compared to air conditioner.
