1. I am very outgoing person, my conversational skills are excellent and this is backed
up by my enthusiasm for meeting new people. I would consider myself an outgoing
person who is not shy and is always prepared to help others. I can work unsupervised
or be part of a team. I enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with others.
I was working as a Team leader in a Day Service for people with dementia, altzimers
and Parkinson. My duties involve supervisions, daily log of events, assessments,
medication, upkeep of calendar, leading a team of support workers.
Also I like to take this opportunity to explain further my past duties prior to my
present position which is self-explanatory.
In my last posts under the umbrella of Support Worker/ Personal Assistant consisted
of;
Not just taken care of the clients on a hygiene personal level but also to find suitable
activates in their continues development. I had to take into consideration their age,
learning ability and travel consideration. I had to liaison with variety of organisations
including Health Centres, hospitals; social services in more than one local council
areas and with care providers.
I was responsible for administrating medication, cash regulation, maintaining daily
records, organising daily activities, transport as well as normal domestic duties. I had
also to attend and hold meetings with other parties in relation to the client.
Through my carer career I have undertaken several training courses, which are
certificated.
I have always been interested in helping others although my education reflects a
somehow different direction but my overall aim has always been to make others
happy. To support them, taking into consideration their dignity, respect their choices,
values and confidentiality, but most of all be aware of health and safety at all times.
