2. FADE IN:
EXT. TRAIN STATION - RAILROAD - DAY
At the train station, a train roars past from left to right.
CUT TO:
EXT. TRAIN STATION – PLATFORM - DAY
DETECTIVE GIBSON steps off the train and views the surrounding
environment.
FADE TO:
EXT. VILLAGE - DAY
Detective Gibson is walking down the road. A woman crosses the road as
soon as she sees Gibson.
CUT TO:
INT. HOUSE - DAY
Detective Gibson enters his new house and places his box of personal
items on a table including his police badge.
CUT TO:
Detective Gibson moves towards the window and opens the curtains to see
a young girl playing with her toys by herself.
CUT TO:
EXT. YARD – DAY
The young girl continues playing with her toys while Detective Gibson
looks through the window.
Detective Gibson walks towards the girl and stops just in front of her.
DETECTIVE GIBSON
Hi, I’m Mr Gibson.
EXT. FRANK’S HOUSE – DAY
Detective Gibson meets up briefly with the father
FRANK, late 40s, father of ISABELLA, runs over to confront the
stranger who is Detective Gibson
FRANK
Isabella! What do you think you are doing?
3. DETECTIVE GIBSON shuffles back, Isabella becomes slightly distressed.
GIBSON
... Is this your daughter then?
FRANK
Go ahead and run back inside now, will ya?
Isabella runs into the house.
FADE TO:
FRANK
Yeah? What’s it to you?
GIBSON
Was just was wondering if anything was wrong. That’s all.
Frank stares at Detective Gibson
FRANK
You’re not from around here... are you?
DISSOLVE TO:
Isabella is shown to be kidnapped at night.
INT. FRANK’S HOUSE – NIGHT
GIBSON
Frank, when was the last time you saw her?
FRANK
...
GIBSON
Please. It would really be helpful if -
FRANK
You did it didn't you?
GIBSON
(Stuttering)
W-what? Are you insane?
FRANK
You transfer over and then this happens.
4. GIBSON
Trust me -
FRANK
Just get out of my house.
DETECTIVE GIBSON leaves the house
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. DETECTIVE GIBSON’S HOUSE – NIGHT
Detective Gibson shakes his head and thinks about the situation.
GIBSON
(Sips a cup of tea)
Could it be -?
Detective Gibson is interrupted by the doorbell
Two police officers show up at the door; one turned away the other
looking Gibson straight in the eyes.
INT. POLICE CUSTODY – INTERROGATION ROOM
CUT TO:
GIBSON sits down in a dark interrogation room with a light shining on
him.
INTERROGATOR 1:
You know why you’re here
GIBSON:
You got to be kidding me? I’ve done nothing!
CUT TO:
An unidentified person is walking down a dimly lit road.
CUT TO INTERROGATION:
INTERROGATOR 1:
It’s no coincidence; you know that as well as me
GIBSON:
What do you accuse me of?
INTERROGATOR 2:
Kidnapping a little girl.
5. CUT TO:
Person walking down the road
CUT BACK TO INTERROGATION:
GIBSON (Stands up and hits the table with his fists):
I didn’t do it
CUT BACK TO PERSON WALKING:(CONTINUED)
The person suddenly gets grabbed around the neck. The screams echo.
CUT BACK TO INTERROGATION:
Gibson looks at the interrogators in an intimidating way.
EXT.GIBSON’S HOUSE – NIGHT
Gibson on his journey home from the interrogation. The motion sensor
lights activate and he sees Frank sitting down on his porch.
FRANK
Funny, someone else has gone missing whilst you weren’t home.
GIBSON
It wasn’t me.
FRANK
Give me back my child!
EXT. HOUSE - GIBSON’S DOOR OPENS
EXT: DETECTIVE GIBSON’S ROAD - MORNING
DETECTIVE GIBSON
I’m not going down for something I didn’t do.
FADE TO:
INT: DETECTIVE’S HOUSE – STUDY
The detective is typing on his keyboard, searching for recent kidnapping
cases in the area
CUT TO:
6. (Various kidnapping cases in the area within the past few months come up
on the screen – none of them reveal the person behind it however)
FADE TO:
The detective gets out his badge and his gun.
EXT: DIMLY LIT STREET – EVENING
The detective walks towards a warehouse.
QUICK CUT:
INT: WAREHOUSE – FINAL LOCATION
Detective Gibson smashes down doors of a warehouse – reveals some
sickening findings of bloody hammers, scratch marks on the walls and
muddy footprints leading to a room
DETECTIVE GIBSON
(Disgusted and shocked)
