My Tableau Portfolio
As a Tableau Developer/Designer I have worked closely
with several departments across Cox Communications to
determine requirements and data needs for multiple
reports and dashboards. I have championed Tableau as
the desired platform, urging the conversion from manual
Excel reports to the interactive and near real-time
reporting of Tableau Server. To the right are just a handful
examples.
Project Forecast and Actuals
A project financials based dashboard allowing Project Managers details in regards to the financials
of their projects. Forecasts, Actuals, and Total Approved budget.
PPM UET Ticket Activity
PPM support team performance metrics. One dashboard, shown, is ticket volume oriented and
one is SLA oriented showing the percentage of tickets meeting established SLAs.

2. Work Entry Process Metrics
Work Entry performance metrics indicating volume of requests and where in the process is most
time spent. Other views include detailed phase metrics showing the exact amount of time spent in
given process phase, along with status, business area, and more. Work entry queue is also
provided to allowing a view into potentially upcoming work.
Top Initiatives Status Dashboard
Status dashboard for Technology identified top initiatives. These can be programs or individual
projects. Metrics are aggregated to the highest level, i.e. program when line item is a program.

3. Time and Labor Dashboard
The Time and Labor dashboard show compliance metrics in regards to employee time tracking.
Specifically, how employee time is entered in PeopleSoft. It is aggregated to department level and
views exist for both Center and Regional employees.
Run Asset Analysis
The run asset report grew out of a desire to better understand the nature of the work being
performed by Cox Technology staff members. In that regard, it breaks down employee time
tracking data into projects and tasks.
