Sweden, built in 1956 with a main span of 183m and two side
span of 75m. it was the world's longest cable-stayed bridge at
that time

4. ADVANTAGE OF CABLE STAYED BRIDGE
Much greater stiffness than, so that deformations of the deck
under live loads are reduced
Can be constructed by cantilevering out from the tower - the
cables act both as temporary and permanent supports to the
bridge deck
For a symmetrical bridge (i.e. Spans on either side of the

the shaking of bridge due to the impact of earthquake,
wind or any others loads or forces.
OBJECTIVES OF VIBRATION INDICATOR
• To indicates the impact of earthquake after crossing the
limit which is commanded to the indicator.
• To gives idea about that the bridge should be utilized or
not(this saves the life)
