• Sleep is when your brain recharges to
enable it to think effectively
• The last REM early in the morning is
when your memory is filed into long
term memory. This is also when you
dream.
• Reviewing your notes just before you go
to bed and again in the morning may
help you remember more effectively.
• An interesting App, measures your deep
and shallow sleep and allows you to set
an alarm to wake you up at the optimum
time so you have the best chance of
feeling alert.
12. Enemies of a good sleep!
• 95 per cent of people surveyed said
they played videogames, watched
television, or used smartphones or
laptop computers in the hour before
going to bed.
• Being bathed in the glow of monitors
or handset screens suppresses the
release of sleep-promoting hormone
melatonin and enhances alertness,
making it more difficult to sleep.
