2. INTRODUCTI
ON
• This presentation is about how
we can improve the Bedford
Campus and its Mayberry
Satellite location. As you are
aware the Mayberry campus is
now able to facilitate 1500
students on-line, however this
has caused a significant
slowdown of network
connectivity in the classroom. It
is therefore taking students over
20 minutes to be connected to
the on-line classroom via the
Internet. We will need to come
up with the best solution to
resolve this issue.

4. WIRELESS AND CLOUD-BASED SOLUTIONS TO
CONNECTIVITY ISSUES
• Find the dead spots all around campus and upgrade the wireless access points all through the
campus that have 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz one, for dual band like the Ubiquiti Networks Unifi
Dual-Radio PRO Access Point
• Once we upgrade and add additional access points throughout the campus connectivity issues
just be no more. Access points must be mounted below a ceiling will perform better because
their signals will not be affected by any cables within the building. Now if we look at a cloud
based solution Microsoft azure hybrid cloud
• hybrid cloud is a computing environment that combines a public cloud and a private cloud by
allowing data and applications to be shared between them.
• Using a hybrid cloud will allow the university to scale computing resources, it also eliminates
the need to make massive capital expenditures to handle the demand as well as when the
university needs to free up resources for more data or applications.
• Reduce network latency with extremely fast hybrid connectivity through Azure ExpressRoute at
bandwidths up to 100 Gbps which will help keep all the students on without having
performance issues.
• Securely and privately access your Azure resources with built-in VPN capabilities in Azure
Virtual Network which in short terms means with the VPN on this network it is added security
for all students and teachers as the network would be public to everyone on campus but would
5. A POSSIBLE TIMELINE FOR IMPLEMENTING YOUR
SOLUTIONS
Research SolutionsStep 1
•First, research and discover possible solutions to resolve physical and cloud based issues that are being faced currently. Inside of this
research, there should be timelines and costs concluded.
Submit ProposalStep 2
•Gather all this information and put it into a proposal to receive approval or questions of the scope and next steps. Continue process
until approval is received. We believe we can finish this within two months once approved. So we give 3-4 weeks of a time limit from
the beginning of research to the completion of the scope of this assignment.
Receive ApprovalStep 3
•Once approval is received, the plan should begin two weeks from the date that it is approved to make sure the employees have time to
prepare for any downtime that may occur.
6. PERSONNEL RESOURCES NEEDED TO
IMPLEMENT YOUR SOLUTION
• Now that a solution has been determined to
help the network bottle-necking on
campus, we can determine what personnel
we need to achieve the task at hand.
• Firstly, we will need a large scale sample of
all network devices and their current
performance/activity received.
• In addition to the samples, we will need to
assign various team members to seek
potential solutions both locally and
remotely.
• Lastly, once the proposal has been
submitted and approved we will need
personnel to handle the network overhaul.
7. COSTS THAT NEED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR YOUR
SOLUTION AND TIMELINE
• Pricing for a variety of
applications that may be
affected can be seen on page 3
of the PowerPoint. In addition
to the pricings listed, we will
need to be weary of new
hardware that needs to be
added such as additional
routers, switches, wireless
access points, and wireless
printers.

8. CONCLUSION
• In conclusion to the improvements that will be completed at the Bedford
Campus and it's satellite campus in Mayberry, we've found the main issues
to be slow connection sleep, lack of connection, dead zones, and extreme
bottle-necking on the network. We've decided to improve the quality of the
hardware that is used at the campuses, added wireless access points and
new wireless printers in place of the old wired printers to relieve additional
stress off the network, and created a variety of channels for use at both
campuses instead of keeping all traffic on one. We've looked into the sample
sizes of data and personnel that are required to make the updates, as well
as the pricing of parts and labor for all upgrades. Our team has concluded
that the improves we plan to make will drastically improve the overall
connectivity and performance at both the Bedford and the Mayberry satellite
campus.

Editor's Notes
("7 Wireless Router Problems And How To Solve Them," n.d.) This past year has been moving very fast and teaching us so much. These are the main issues we have faced recently and could have resolved them by maybe by using a VLAN. However, we chose a more economical way and these are the solutions that we have arrived too. Cost analysis for the MIMO wires are from PC Nation. ("Ubiquiti 2x2 MIMO BaseStation | Networking AM-5G19-120.com," n.d.)
Wireless access points are a must and will be beneficial to everyone, The Azure expressroute will help keep performance high so when you have a lot of the students on the network at a time there won’t be connection issues. Azure has many adtional resources but a campus of this size would need a VPN so data that is flowing through the network will be safe. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/product-categories/networking/ https://www.techrepublic.com/article/microsoft-azure-the-smart-persons-guide/
Of course, the solutions are simple and affordable, since the campus is still a small sized campus. However, the process still has to be followed according the standards of the company. Here is our solution’s timeline.
The focus of this slide is the determine the ideas, problems, and solutions that will be used via personnel to make the required changes at both campuses. It’s important to look into each of the details.
Most generic pricing was covered on page 3 of the PowerPoint, so I wanted to include pricing of the actual hardware that is going to be used during the enhancement of the campus.
Brief summary of all the changes that are being made to improve both campuses. Touching on most if not all of the points that were made throughout the presentation.
