Napoleon extended French legislation dismantling feudal
property relations to annexed territories. Similar policies were
pursued in satellite kingdoms like Naples and Westphalia. And
even after Napoleon’s Empire fell, restored monarchs made
no attempt to undo these changes.

5. SLAVERY SYSTEM
What did Napoleon do about slavery?
On his coming to power, Napoleon did not have
fixed ideas regarding slavery and the slave trade,
both abolished by the Convention in 1794. On
several occasions, he decided not to re-establish
slavery, refusing. But Napoleon’s intention was to
unify the system in the colonies, and, to be totally
clear here, effectively to reintroduce slavery, as is
shown by his instructions authorizing
representatives of the government

Napoleon Captured many territories so all other

In the 1813 Battle of Leipzig, also known as the
Battle of Nations, Napoleon's army was defeated by
a coalition that included Austrian, Prussian,
Russian and Swedish troops. Afterward, Napoleon
retreated to France, where in March 1814 coalition
forces captured Paris.

9. WATERLOO THE FINAL
The Battle of Waterloo was fought on 18 June 1815
between Napoleon's French Army and a coalition
led by the Duke of Wellington and Marshal Blücher.
The decisive battle of its age, it concluded a war
that had raged for 23 years, ended French
attempts to dominate Europe, and destroyed
Napoleon's imperial power forever.
