God gave us His Word for a purpose. God wants us to be with Him in heaven. To do this we must change from serving Satan to serving God. God gave His Word so we would know how to live our lives. God gave His Word so we would change.
A season of revival lifts the entire church community into a new level, a new realm in God. We see revival as our journey back to becoming what God really intended the Church to be, a habitation of God among man, a dwelling place of God's glory among men. This message encourages us to pray for revival, an outpouring of God's Spirit.

James asks a question that has divided churches and denominations, “What does it profit if someone says they have faith but does not have works?” What is your answer? Is faith without works of any value? Can works without faith bring salvation? Should someone believe they are a Christian simply because they "accepted Christ" or were baptized?
"Philadelphia" means city of "Brotherly Love." What could be more brotherly than telling prospective brothers about God's great love? Jesus commended this church for maintaining their missions focus, despite being mistreated. He also promised them deliverance from God's anger at the entire world (3:10), also known as the Pre-Tribulational Rapture.
Mt 13:15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.'

In chapter 2 of Nehemiah, we see God using every gift and talent that he had developed within Nehemiah to gain permission and to prepare the way for him to rebuild the wall. He also plans carefully, makes a thorough surv4ey of the walls and wins the support of the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
The word ‘grace’ is not always used in the same sense as in the bible. If you look up grace in the dictionary you will see that there are multiple meanings. Divine grace in particular is often misunderstood & misinterpreted by people. This presentation will clarify exactly what God’s grace is and how it is pertinent to our salvation.
Dr. John Oakes and James Shults will be teaching a class on biblical books covering the period after the exile of Judah and Israel. The theme of these books is returning to God, restoring our relationship with God and rebuilding our lives with God. The books covered will include Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Ezra, Esther and Nehemiah. The class will be held at the Mission Center of Hope 6162 Mission Gorge Road, Suite A, San Diego 92120 on six consecutive Saturdays from 9:00-10:30. The broken walls of the city had been restored. However, there was something yet broken. The walls of Jerusalem were broken because God’s people had dishonored God’s Law. Now that the walls are rebuilt, Ezra the Scribe begins an essential process of restoring the people’s respect for God’s commands.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer.
