1. 1. Preach My Gospel: Receive the Ordinances of Baptism,
the Gift of the Holy Ghost, Membership in Christ’s Church.
2. Perfecting the Saints by Receiving the Next Ordinances:
The Sacrament, Priesthood, Church Calling, Endowment,
Sealing for Eternal Families
3. Salvation of the Dead: Family History and Temple
Ordinances for our Ancestors
4. Compassionate Service: For the needy, poor, and hungry
2. Through the Stake
President, these
Priesthood keys are
conferred upon Bishops
and Branch Presidents,
to “minister” and
“administer” these four
missions
3. As Bishops and Branch
Presidents, how can we
best engage our
membership in “Preaching
My Gospel?”
How can we best instill
the charge, “Every Member
a Missionary?”
4.
5.
6.
7. A “Tri-fold” Program
works very well. It has
room for the 4
calendar weeks
containing:
Missionary Dinner
/Split assignments,
Ward/Stake
Announcements.
It also fits great, in a
suit pocket!
8.
9. Along with the
Sacrament program, it
will show: Ward
Meeting Times,
Leadership, Redland’s
Temple schedule, Ward
Missionary/ Military
members, and
Missionaries’ contact
number.
10. Ideally, the Ward
Mission Secretary
will combine the
Ward Calendar, and
the Missionary
Dinner/Split
Calendar together.
Each weekly
Sacrament program
will have the next
four weeks of the
Dinner/Split cycle
on it.
11. 1.The Ward Mission Secretary
would receive calls to add: Ward
Activities and Announcements, to
be put on the combined calendar.
2. He would use “LDS Tools” to
enter Stake events and activities.
3. Each new week, he would “cut
and paste” and move up three
weeks. Then he would create the
added 4th week. He would enter
that week’s “Dinner and Splits”
along with Ward and Stake events
and activities.
13. 1. On the assigned night,
the Missionaries meet at a
member’s home for dinner.
After the dinner, the
missionaries give a
spiritual message, a
missionary goal, and a
prayer in the home.
2. At a given time, a Ward
Missionary meets at the
home of the member, who fed
the Elders, to make the split.
The Ward Missionary goes
with one Elder, and the
member, goes with the other
Elder.
14. 1. Have a joint Elders and
High Priests meeting.
Explain the challenge Full-
Time Elders have, in
getting consistent dinners
and splits. Reflect on
President McKay’s call,
“Every Member a
Missionary.” Petition the
brethren to schedule one
night in an 8 to 10 week
cycle, to feed and split with
the Elders.
(Parts of this Power Point
Presentation, could be used)
15. WHAT NIGHTS CAN’T YOU FEED AND SPLIT
WITH THE ELDERS?

Cross out nights that you have commitments:
Sunday Tuesday Wednesday
Thursday Friday Saturday
Relief Society and Elders will set up Monday dinners.
2. Pass out survey slips, to
cross out the nights
members have
commitments, thus leaving
open nights that they could
feed and go out on splits.
3. Explain a “Master (8-10
week) Calendar” will be
made, from the surveys.
4. Monday nights are left
open for: new members, less
active families, single
adults, families with
disabilities, and active
families, who want to feed
the Elders more than once
every 8 to 10 weeks.
16. 5. The Survey slips are
collected and placed,
according to “open”
nights, on a “Master
Calendar”. The jig saw
puzzle begins. The
WML then tries to
match a brother for each
open night.
17. 6. After all
Brothers are
assigned, they are
scheduled in on a
“Master” Calendar
Template.
Member’s name and
telephone number is
listed under the
assigned night.

7. On the finished “Master
Calendar (and in the Ward
Calendar),” instructions will
be written: “Should a conflict
arise, it is the responsibility of
the brother, to call and make a
switch with another brother,
assigned to the same night.”
Next, the brother has the
responsibility to call, and
inform the Ward Mission
Leader (or Secretary),of the
change. The “Master
Calendar” is then updated.
19. 1. The Ward Mission
Leader can delegate, to his
Secretary, the
responsibility of keeping
the “Missionary Dinner
and Split” Calendar up to
date. The Secretary would
receive any assignment
changes from members,
and then make the switch
on the “Master” Calendar.
These changes will also be
reflected on the Sunday’s
Bulletin Calendar.
2. The Ward Mission
Leader will need to
correlate with the Elders,
if there are no missionary
appointments for the split.
The missionaries should
have: a part member
family list, a less-active
list, and the 5-5-5 list, to
use. Brothers could also
make a home teaching
visit, or have their families
taught a missionary
lesson.
20. 1. The “Master”
Missionary Dinner/Split
Calendar can be
switched from the
Brother of the assigned
family, to the Sister of
the assigned family.
2. The Bishop/President
will have to call Sister
Ward Missionaries to
help with the splits.
21. 1. Every Sunday, an up-
dated, 8-10 week “Master”
Dinner and Split Calendar,
is posted on the Bishop’s
bulletin board.
2. Each week, before the end
of the Month, the assigned
Ward Members are emailed
the “Master” Calendar for
the succeeding Month.
22. 1. At the beginning of the
Priesthood Meeting, important
Ward announcements will be
made, and a reminder of the
coming week’s Missionary D/S
Calendar assignments.
2. It would also be great, if the
brethren could share missionary
experiences, of the previous
week’s dinner and splits with the
Missionaries.
3. Book of Mormon placements
are then made.
