• Music cognition and brain differences associated with differing levels and qualities of music expertise.
• ERP components associated with working memory, attention and perception.
• Attentional processes using advanced techniques with EEG data.
• Electrophysiological differences associated with musicianship, imitation learning and its association
with Mirror Neuron circuit paths.
• Independent Component Analysis and advanced methods of EEG interpretation.
• MATLAB, R, and various other software tools used for EEG and statistics processing.
Experience
• I have over six years experience working in and around EEG psychology lab settings using various
techniques and studying a broad spectrum of topics. Additionally, I have experience using integrative
programs such as MATLAB and StimPresent to create and display stimuli within studies. I have also
designed, conducted, and documented Cognitive Neuroscientific research in laboratories at both
Western Washington University and Central Washington University. I am experienced in
conducting psychological research with various forms of Electroencephalography and am able to
efficiently write up results illustrating dynamics of human brain electrophysiology and behavior.
