Ben Ferguson

Ben entered Scotch College in 2005. This year he has successfully completed the requirements for the
Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority and has been awarded the Victorian Certificate of
Educations (VCE). The VCE Unit 3 and 4 subject’s studies include English, Further Mathematics,
Music Performance,Physics, Product Design and Technology and Studio Art.
Ben was a regular participant in sport, representing the College in cycling and basketball. He has also
been active participant in House activities and received Full Colours in his contributions to Davidson
House.
Ben served in the Military Band. He rose to the rank of Sargent and demonstrated excellent leadership
skills.
A talented trombonist, he was an active participant in the musical like of the College. He was a
member of the Symphony Orchestra,the Symphonic Wind, the Showband and Senior Brass
ensemble. He also sang in the College Choir. He duly deserves his award of Full Colours for music.
Ben was also member of the organising committee for the school annual magazine, known as the
collegian. He was awarded Full Colours his contributions.
Over the years,Ben as matured into a fine young man. He has always been co-operative, friendly and
he relates extremely well to his peer and staff. Ben has been an enthusiastic contributor in a wide
variety of activates at Scotch and could always be depended on to perform to the best of his ability
and with a true sense of fairness. He will be missed, but no doubt he has a very bright future ahead of
him. He comes to you without highest recommendation.
