John won his first Junior World Championship in the Moth
when he was fifteen.
he racked up an impressive four National Junior
Championships- two in the Comet followed by two in the
GP-14, before graduating from Cherry Hill East High
School
he won 3 more GP-14 National Championships, won three
additional GP-14 North American Championships, and
three Comet North American Championships and a Comet
International Championship.
He earned his first Silver Star by winning the Star North
American Championship in 1983.
