Dan KneenI N T E R N AT I O N A L M O T O R C Y C L E R A C E R
Twenty nine year old Dan Kneen has established himself as one of the leading road racers in the world.
With some outstanding performances at all of the international road races, especially the prestigious Isle
of Man TT, 2017 is set to be a superb year for the talented Manx rider.
Kneen first came to the attention of his fellow Islanders in 2005 and 2006 when he started winning at the Jurby airfield
circuit, culminating in winning the 400cc Championship in 2006, but it was when he tried his hand at real road racing
that his profile was raised with the paddock noticing the potential of this young Manx lad. At the age of just 19, Dan
contested the Southern 100 road races with great success as he picked up the Best Newcomer award. A year later,
having only just left his teen years behind, Dan made his debut at the Manx Grand Prix, the ‘Amateur TT’ and never
before has such a debut been made as he created history in the space of a few days by being the first rider to win
three races in a week.
For 2009, Dan linked up with the Marks Bloom Racing team to take on the biggest road race of them all, the Isle of Man
TT Races. Dan took a brilliant tenth place in the Superstock race, lapping at more than 125mph, and backed this up
with 11th in the Supersport. It was these results that led to the media and fellow riders earmarking him as a TT winner
of the future.
2010 saw Dan improve his TT results with an impressive 5th, against factory-backed riders, in the first Supersport
600cc race. More top ten finishes were taken at the North West 200 whilst his Ulster Grand Prix debut saw another
sensational performance as he became the fastest newcomer in the history of the event with a 129mph+ lap!
After an injury early in the year, Dan was fit just in time for the 2011 TT. His Kawasaki ZX-10R carried him to 7th in the
Superstock race where he posted his best lap to date of 127.265mph to become the 19th fastest rider of all time. Top
ten results were also achieved in the TT Supersport race and the Southern 100 Championship race later in the year.
2012 saw Dan rack up more top ten finishes at the North West 200 but his only finish at the TT was 11th in the opening
Superbike race as he crashed out of 5th in the first Supersport race. This ruled him out of racing for the next two
months. However, he returned in style at the Ulster Grand Prix with no less than four top eight finishes before taking
an excellent ninth at the Macau Grand Prix.
Despite another season interrupted by injuries, Dan posted some strong results on the roads in 2013, none more so
than at the TT when he picked up five more replicas as well as the prestigious Gavin Lee Trophy for the third time, the
trophy awarded to the best performing Manxman in the ‘Blue Riband’ Senior TT race.
For the 2014 season Dan made the switch to the Irish National road race scene, with the Cookstown B.E. Racing Team,
racing in the Superbike, Supersport and Supertwin classes. All the circuits were new to him but that didn’t stop him
taking success after success. Dan took the win at Cookstown, Tandragee, Kells, Skerries, Walderstown and Faugheen.
An amazing season which saw Dan claim both the Ulster and Irish Road Race Superbike Championship with a total of
10 race wins and 2 lap records.
2015 saw a massive change for Dan. A last minute switch to the Padgetts Honda Team gave Dan an incredible
opportunity with one of the most established teams in the paddock. Despite having little time to acquaint himself with
his new Honda machinery, Dan put in some stellar rides. A hat-trick of top ten finishes at the Isle of Man TT, posting
his first 130mph lap on the Superbike and also personal bests on the Superstock and Supersport bikes showed that
Dan is right on the pace.

INTRODUCTION
For 2016 Dan was picked up by the Yamaha UK backed Mar-Train team, riding the R1M Superbike and Superstock bike,
and the well proven R6 Supersport bike. Dan was immediately on the pace, winning the first road race of the year at
Tandragee and some excellent podium finishes at Cookstown. Disaster struck at the beginning of May when, during
a training ride on his mountain bike, Dan fell injuring his wrist and shoulder. These injuries would sideline him for the
two biggest events of the year, the Northwest 200 and the Isle of Man TT. Dan soon recovered, and was back on the
bike for the Southern 100, finishing on the podium in the Superstock race. At the Ulster Grand Prix, Dan also finished
3rd in the Superstock race, the first international podium for the Yamaha R1M. Dan also smashed his own personal
best lap times in all classes including a 133.3mph average on the Superbike.
Dan has firmly established himself as one of the finest racers on the roads. He also enjoys one of the biggest followings
in the Road Race paddock. 2017 will be an exciting year, with Dan using his now considerable experience and speed
to further his winning record. You can be a part of his success.

THE YEAR AHEAD
For 2017, Dan aims to firmly challenge for more wins at the International Road Race meetings. With the experience
he has learned riding for Yamaha in 2016, he will be even better placed to show his talent and increase his tally of top
results.
As Dan’s team infrastructure continues to grow, the combination of rider and team are set to be a real force on the
roads with the season centred on the 4 International road races – the Isle of Man TT, North West 200, Ulster Grand
Prix and Macau Grand Prix, all of which gain massive international media coverage.
THE TT RACES
Known across the World, the TT Races are now well into their second century and the event is enjoying its highest
global profile in history. Attracted by the unique and thrilling nature of the TT, the world’s media are fully engaged with
the event. In turn, the TT’s online audience is growing rapidly year-on-year, not only taking advantage of the massive
increase in worldwide coverage, but also via the official iomtt.com website and social networking sites like Twitter and
Facebook.
The event is also building a new global television audience with 11 dedicated one hour highlights programmes shown
to mainstream, and primetime, TV audiences by some of the World’s leading broadcasters. In the UK, ITV4 has seen its
viewing figures more than double in the last few years and Dan will again feature prominently in their coverage in 2017.
In a world of sanitised sporting experiences, the TT remains a standout event in the annual calendar and one that
appeals to those looking to build a strong brand identity and speak to the world. Quite simply, there is no better time
to be involved with the TT and international motorcycle road racing.
MEDIA EXPOSURE
Media coverage of the Isle of Man TT races is increasing all the time with Motor Cycle News, the country’s best selling
motorcycling publication, dedicating close to 100 pages to the event. The TT was also the cover story on four consecutive
issues during May and June.
Last year, the TT featured in stories in over 50 different countries worldwide generating coverage estimated to be
worth over £2 million. Features appeared in the Financial Times, Independent, Observer, Sunday Times, Daily Mail and
Guardian newspapers in the UK and in L’Equipe. Le Figaro and La Gazzetta dello Sport across Europe.
Dan KneenI N T E R N AT I O N A L M O T O R C Y C L E R A C E R
“The global pull of the TT is stronger than ever and the event boasts
a truly international entry list with top quality riders travelling from
all over the world.”
Paul Phillips
IOM Government
North One Television, one of the world’s leading television production companies who have previously covered events
such as Formula One and the Rugby World Cup, have an exclusive deal to sell and distribute TV footage of the TT Races
and have already received numerous awards for their coverage. They have brought the latest production techniques
such as slow-motion cameras, computer generated imagery and high-end graphics, delivering a new level of detail
and understanding of the event to millions of bike racing fans. All the while sponsors of teams and riders benefit from
brand exposure in race footage and close-ups from on-bike cameras, post-race interviews and special features.
In the UK, ITV4 broadcast the event with one-hour highlights programmes for the full two weeks, whilst their review
programmes on ITV1 attracted viewing figures in excess of 1 million.
The North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix and the other Irish road races are given extensive coverage by BBC Northern
Ireland on terrestrial TV, via the interactive red button service, and on their dedicated website. In 2016 Eurosport aired
coverage of the races which proved to be very popular with bike fans and introduced a new audience to the speed and
excitement of ‘real road racing’. The motorcycle press also feature great coverage of the road racing season, both in
the UK and internationally.
Dan himself has a personal website that covers his racing season with news, photos and Dan’s personal blog. He also
has a great following on the most popular social media channels, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Dan takes his training very seriously,
maximising on-bike fitness through supermoto
and enduro riding and increasing stamina,
strength and endurance by means of mountain
biking, road cycling and athletics.

JOIN THE TEAM
Dan plans to build on his success of 2016 by continuing to excel at the international meetings. To reach this goal, he
needs additional funding and is therefore offering an exciting opportunity for you to join his already successful team.
As a leading and popular rider, Dan will feature heavily across all media productions. Your company and products
will be ideally placed to receive high profile coverage in this exciting, high-speed sport, which has some of the largest
spectator attendance figures of any sport in the UK, Ireland and across the world.
Sponsorship is an effective and cost efficient way of advertising your company or products. Sponsoring a rider can
also be useful for corporate entertainment. What could be better than to take along some prospective clients to a race
meeting to watch your rider race, you would be surprised who is into bike racing. Even employees within a company
can have a good day out to watch the company rider race.
Sponsorship can be in the form of financial funding, supplying of equipment, parts, tools, fuel etc. No matter how big
or small, every little helps in racing.
Should you wish to become part of the team, your products and services will be endorsed by displaying your company
name and logo on machinery, leathers or helmet at all meetings for the best part of a year. You will enjoy great coverage
on social media too, through Dan’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Remember sponsorship is tax deductible,
therefore all receipts will be supplied.
2016 was a great year for me. Despite missing
out on the TT and NW200 due to injury, I really
felt my pace on the Yamaha machinery was
better than ever.
None of this would be possible without help
from my sponsors, for 2017 I want to build
on this momentum and make an even bigger
impact on the International Road Race scene.

As Dan’s team infrastructure continues to grow, the combination of rider and team are set to be a real force on the roads with the season centred on the 4 International road races – the Isle of Man TT, North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix and Macau Grand Prix, all of which gain massive international media coverage. THE TT RACES Known across the World, the TT Races are now well into their second century and the event is enjoying its highest global profile in history. Attracted by the unique and thrilling nature of the TT, the world’s media are fully engaged with the event. In turn, the TT’s online audience is growing rapidly year-on-year, not only taking advantage of the massive increase in worldwide coverage, but also via the official iomtt.com website and social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. The event is also building a new global television audience with 11 dedicated one hour highlights programmes shown to mainstream, and primetime, TV audiences by some of the World’s leading broadcasters. In the UK, ITV4 has seen its viewing figures more than double in the last few years and Dan will again feature prominently in their coverage in 2017. In a world of sanitised sporting experiences, the TT remains a standout event in the annual calendar and one that appeals to those looking to build a strong brand identity and speak to the world. Quite simply, there is no better time to be involved with the TT and international motorcycle road racing. MEDIA EXPOSURE Media coverage of the Isle of Man TT races is increasing all the time with Motor Cycle News, the country’s best selling motorcycling publication, dedicating close to 100 pages to the event. The TT was also the cover story on four consecutive issues during May and June. Last year, the TT featured in stories in over 50 different countries worldwide generating coverage estimated to be worth over £2 million. Features appeared in the Financial Times, Independent, Observer, Sunday Times, Daily Mail and Guardian newspapers in the UK and in L’Equipe. Le Figaro and La Gazzetta dello Sport across Europe. • 7. JOIN THE TEAM Dan plans to build on his success of 2016 by continuing to excel at the international meetings. To reach this goal, he needs additional funding and is therefore offering an exciting opportunity for you to join his already successful team. As a leading and popular rider, Dan will feature heavily across all media productions. Your company and products will be ideally placed to receive high profile coverage in this exciting, high-speed sport, which has some of the largest spectator attendance figures of any sport in the UK, Ireland and across the world. Sponsorship is an effective and cost efficient way of advertising your company or products. Sponsoring a rider can also be useful for corporate entertainment. What could be better than to take along some prospective clients to a race meeting to watch your rider race, you would be surprised who is into bike racing. Even employees within a company can have a good day out to watch the company rider race. Sponsorship can be in the form of financial funding, supplying of equipment, parts, tools, fuel etc. No matter how big or small, every little helps in racing. Should you wish to become part of the team, your products and services will be endorsed by displaying your company name and logo on machinery, leathers or helmet at all meetings for the best part of a year. You will enjoy great coverage on social media too, through Dan’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Remember sponsorship is tax deductible, therefore all receipts will be supplied. 2016 was a great year for me. Despite missing out on the TT and NW200 due to injury, I really felt my pace on the Yamaha machinery was better than ever. None of this would be possible without help from my sponsors, for 2017 I want to build on this momentum and make an even bigger impact on the International Road Race scene.
