Project Sunrise Nears Completion

The Supply Chain team has made a great deal of progress since the launch of Project Sunrise, an initiative to integrate the Office Depot and
OfficeMax Supply Chain networks. In the second half of 2016, Supply Chain reached a number of milestones, including:
Converting four OfficeMax customer fulfillment centers ﴾CFCs﴿ to Office Depot distribution centers ﴾DCs﴿ in Columbus, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois;
Orlando, Florida and Portland, Oregon
Consolidating the Denver, Colorado CFC into the Denver DC; and the Garden Grove, California CFC into the Signal Hill, California DC
Moving the crossdock operation from Long Beach, California to Garden Grove

In 2017, Supply Chain plans to complete Project Sunrise by:
Completing the conversion of three remaining CFCs in Bristol, Pennsylvania; Puerto Rico and Hawaii to DCs
Closing the last two PowerMax facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada and Hazelton, Pennsylvania after migrating all stores to Office Depot

Introducing the mixing center concept, which will hold inventory of Private Brand items ﴾both furniture and other SKUs﴿ domestically in fewer
locations, to ultimately reduce pre‐merger import operations in seven facilities down to five
