Extensible Search
The purpose of extensible search is to create the
technology and method for developing library search
functionality, interfaces, and integrations in order to:
• Provide an intuitive, integrated, and learnable library search
experience for users
• Integrate multiple data sources and object formats
• Clearly outline the process to develop and integrate new search
targets
• Create independence of library search from source targets
• Develop suite of added value services for library search and
process for adding new services
