Murfatlar Vineyard
and Wine Cellar
You can taste up to 9
kinds of wine, you
can have a meal, a
traditional meal, visit
the museum, music
and good will.
Since antiquity, locals from Dobrogea
cultivated these vineyards. Annually,
25,000 tons of grapes are collected,
resulting in 18 million liters of wine, almost
equivalent to one liter of wine per
Romanian. Several thousands of people
work from spring to late autumn to harvest
vineyards.
The main attraction of the Murfatlar viticultural area is the wine cellar. The temple
houses almost 40 years of tradition. The dusty bottles are good, stacked on the
shelves. There's a lot of flavors here. Some fine, delicate, fresh, others heavier,
stronger, more full of personality. All blend in full harmony and form the most subtle
ones. And, as we all know, the older the better, the better.
Keywords: wine, vineyards, grepes, winemaking , old wine, Romania
10,000 tourists visit the
tourist center annually. Here
is also the Museum of Wine
and Vine, which houses
dozens of valuable exhibits,
representative for the
viticultural area in the
southeast of the country.
