HMS Belfast was a serving warship in
WWII. This paired with the trip to the
Imperial War Museum builds a fully
immersive experience for the Topic work
for the term.
12. Itinerary - Thursday
● 8:30 - Arrive at school and sign in. Medication form
checked by staff.
● 9:00 - Leave school
● 10:30 - Deliver luggage to HMS Belfast
● 11:00 - Bus to IWM
● 12:00 - IWM
● 13:20 - Lunchroom booked
● 15:30 - Leave Museum
● 16:00 - Arrive at Waterloo for dinner
● 16:30 - London Night Walk
● 18:00 - Arrive at HMS Belfast
● 19:00 - Boat session followed by snack
● 21:00 - Lights out

7:00 - Wake up
8:00 - Breakfast
9:00 - Photography time
10:00 - Self guided session on HMS Belfast
12:00 - Lunch (provided by HMS Belfast)
12:30 - Collect luggage
13:00 - Clipper
13:30 - Disembark Clipper and get bus back to school
14:30 - Return to school for collection by parents
14. What to bring
All luggage should be in a rucksack that the children can carry
themselves. Please don’t bring suitcases (even trolley cases) as
the children will need to get them on and off buses themselves.
Kit list
● Packed Lunch for Thursday (including a snack for the
afternoon) in a separate bag
● Sleeping bag
● Pillow case
● Pyjamas
● Clean underwear for Friday
● Clean school shirt for Friday
● Wash kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, face cloth, soap)
● Towel
● Teddy bear
● Playing cards: Top Trumps, Snap, Uno etc.
Do not bring any electronic devices, phones etc
15. Medication
Any medication that the children would
normally take daily and would need to be
administered by staff should be brought to
school on the Thursday in a labelled box. A
medication form must be filled out by
parents and the dosage etc discussed with
staff.
This includes all inhalers.
