7. 2. In Wikipedia's list of stock characters, there is an entry known as Knight-
errant. It's defined as "A noble Knight on a quest for his Lady or who is
seeking some Holy Grail. He expresses his courtly love for his beloved from
afar."
One example of this is Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, on the quest to save
his homeland and all of middle earth while yearning for the love of the
immortal elf Arwen.
However, this trope ARGUABLY originated and appeared almost 800 years
before the Lord of the Rings; in the form of a famous and legendary
fellowship of knights. One knight among these was particularly renowned

known as the nameless white knight, he was later given the name _____.

leads to her ultimate downfall. Apart from having rich
parents, she has something else in common with
Veronica; they both share the first letter of their first
names. Which character?
14. 4. Zoroaster is regarded as the spiritual founder of Zoroastrianism. He is said to have
been an Iranian prophet who founded a religious movement that challenged the
existing traditions of ancient Iranian religion and inaugurated a movement that
eventually became a staple religion in ancient Iran. However, a certain author X
reimagines Zoroaster and makes him the protagonist of their book. Following is an
excerpt from the book:
' When Zarathustra came into the next town, which lies on the edge of the forest, he
found many people gathered together in the marketplace; for it had been promised
that there would be a tightrope walker. And Zarathustra spoke thus to the people: "I
teach you the overman. Man is something that shall be overcome. What have you
done to overcome him?" '
This excerpt points to the title of the book and a certain term that was defined and
popularised by this book. Said term, however, has an unfortunate history of being
coopted by certain far-right groups.
Name X and tell me the certain term.
17. 5. The apartheid regime of South Africa was rumored to
have banned many classical books. One such instance
was that of a 19th century Novel X.

first. Then he is scooping them up by handfuls. He starts to pack them into
a ball. As the snowball becomes bigger, he places it on the ground. Slowly
it begins to roll. He gives it a push, and it picks up more snow. Soon he
