2. Introduction
The main aim of the project is to develop college attendance system based on fingerprint
scanning which is now current trend and technology and have to maintain all students
databases. The button called SOS will help the students in emergency by pressing this button
nearby lectures will get a emergency notification.
The proposing system replaces the existing RFID technology that incorporates the use of
electromagnetic or electrostatic coupling in the radio frequency. A student information
system(SIS),for education establishment to manage student data.
SIS provides capability for monitoring student attendance, and provide safety of student in
emergency situation.

Attendance monitoring system in the software developed for daily student
attendance in colleges and institutes, by just giving the thumb impression the
system will be able to produce student attendance report that reducing the
need for manual labour. Which is prone to human errors and time consuming.

Fingerprint technology
This project presents the attendance monitoring system using
fingerprint technology in a college environment.
Authentication
During authentication,the fingerprint of the user is captured again and
the extracted features compared with the template in the database to
determine a match before attendance is made.
RDS-Relational database services:MySQL for storing data.
AWS_IOT : Thing (node creation for each student/nodeMCU)
