10. Universal Yums!
•What better way to learn a little about a
country than through food?! Come and
join Mrs. Sabiston as she tours the
world with Universal Yums! Each month
the school is given a different box of
food from a different country.
•As we share the snacks we will learn
different interesting facts about that
country
We are on a WEEK B
11. South Korea
• Our first country is South Korea!
• When you go to South Korea, don’t expect “Hey,
how are you?” as a greeting. Expect something
more along the lines of Bap meogeosseoyo? (“Have
you eaten rice”) After the Korean War, food was
hard to come by, so this was a polite way of
inquiring if the person you were meeting had eaten
or if they needed food.
• Learn more interesting things about South Korea on
Wednesday, Rm 34. This will not fill everyone up so
bring your lunch as well
