5. Program and Project Management of Telecommunication Projects of Different Scales
a. Organize, manage, and co-ordinate the project team, subcontractors,
material deliveries, and the work to be done by the line organization and
Authorized Service Provider, to achieve the goals of the project.
b. Hold up both external and internal meeting to follow-up project activities and
identify current and potential problems as well as preventive actions in the
project work.
c. Prepare weekly or monthly reports of the project status, including financial
report, to the Project Sponsor.
d. Develop and improve the project process and procedure.
e. Prepare quotations for customer.
f. Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to
the product, process, and quality system in related function.
g. Ensure that the implementation work is carried out in accordance with the
contractual agreement and STC standard.
h. Ensure that processes across all functions are synchronized and produce
synergies within the project.
i. Ensure that preparation and handling all project documents are in
accordance to current process.
j. Perform and take responsibilities for other related duties as assigned by the
Director
k. Provide mentorship, guidance and direction to project members.
6. Implementation Management
a. Coordinate project activities such as site survey, site acquisition, site
preparation, installation, testing, acceptance, etc.
b. Interface with customer, subcontractors and site owner to steer the project
towards its goals, while at the same time keeping full control of time, cost,
characteristics and deliverables.
c. Prepare the detailed plan for the work of the near future and identify
dependencies between the activities or implementation process.
d. Prepare the progress report to inform about the current status and the future
prospects of the project.
e. Initiate work orders and follow up project status.
7. Contract Management
a. Manage the contract including contract changes and closing.
b. Issue certificates to customer and follow up to obtain all certificates for
invoicing purposes.
c. Handle all project documents (i.e. PAT, PAC, OCC, FAC and Technical Close
Out reports).
d. Monitor and analyze project finance incl. WBS, budget, revenue, etc.
e. Analyze contract terms and structure.
8. Tender Management
a. Calculate, review and maintain the cost calculation for services and materials.
b. Prepare the tentative implementation plan.
c. Prepare the statement of compliance of services part in RFQ/RFP
B) Professional Achievements
1. Completion of different wireless network implementation projects:
a. Maxis Mobile
i. RF Design and Optimization of Maxis Mobile Southern Region
Network
ii. Successful implementation of 556 sites, which comprises of BTS sites
(macro, micro, pico and repeater), BSC sites, Microwave (SDH and PDH)
sites.
iii. RPCS - Radio Planning Coordination Subcommittee. Represented Maxis
in the monthly RPCS meeting, which is attended by all network
operators in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. JTM, TAS and JTB formed
this committee for the purpose of ensuring that all operators especially
in border areas, achieve a better coordination
iv. Fixed GSM Wireless – Provided quick telecommunication facilities to
areas that do not have one yet. Areas served at that time were KLCC
(Tower 1 & 2), Saujana Impian Resort, Bukit Intan Seremban, Bukit
Rimau and Bukit Chahaya
b. Lucent Technologies International (Saudi Arabia)
i. RF Design and Optimization of STC South West Region (Taif, Baha, Abha
and Najran)
ii. Successful planned frequency assignment for startup network and also
possible growth in the network.
c. Logica Radio Planning APAC
i. Successfully implemented Odyssey for Chung Hwa Telekom in Taiwan.
This was the first deployment of Odyssey outside of Europe and
America.
ii. Successfully installed and customized Odyssey for Mobilkom Austria in
December 2000. This included full migration of network database to
Odyssey.
d. R&A Telecommunication Sdn Bhd
i. Successfully managed the Full Turnkey Project Management for Design,
Construction and Implementation of outdoor and indoor sites for
GSM1800.
ii. R&A was the preferred contractor after only 6 months being involved in
DiGi projects.
iii. Successfully secured combined sales value of more than RM15 million
per year for the company
iv. Secured telecommunication sales in Bangladesh (Aktel), Kuwait (Hayat)
and UAE (Hayat)
e. Norconsult Telematics Saudi Arabia
i. Successful network rollout and handover of the following wireless
access projects:
1. Expansion 7 (E7) – Ericsson and Nokia
2. Congestion Relief (Ericsson and Nokia)
3. 3G1, 3G2, 3G3 and imminent closure of 3G4 (Ericsson, NSN and
Huawei)
4. Hajj 2006 – Hajj 2010 (Nokia/NSN)
5. Coverage Improvement (Ericsson and NSN)
6. Villages 2007 (Huawei)
7. Road and Villages 2009 (Huawei)
ii. Successful network rollout and handover of the following fixed access
projects:
