The Company: Varroc Engineering Pvt Ltd. is a Tier 1 Automobile Components Manufacturing
company with ISO 9001, QS 9001, TS 16949, and TPM etc. The company is manufacturing all types
of automotive components through Three Divisions (Metallic, Polymer & Electrical) at 16 different
plant Locations all over India. It has very strong customer base which includes Bajaj Auto, Royal
Enfiled,HMSI,Tata Motors,Yamaha, M & M. and overseas customers like, General Motors, Fiat etc
Commercial negotiation for regular process parts:-
 Rate finalization & commercial negotiation of Electronics, Electrical, Sheet Metal and Fasteners and
Proprietary items.
 Price Benchmarking and Costing
 Outsourcing in order to enhance capacity for new development and generate saving
 Amendment as per market trend or supplier requirement
 Achieving price reduction through VAVE, standardization, volume discount etc.
 Arrange new material with reference to BOM release by R & D Department.
 Managing inventory levels in order to ensure ready availability of material to meet procurement &
dispatch targets.
 Conducting study & selection of vendors for specific items
 Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors / suppliers for procurement with an
aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.
 Inventory Management –Planning expected requirement and effective communications both internal
and external sources.
 Responsible of all Import activities.
 Coordinating with vendor’s favourable terms to ensure smooth execution of projects

2.  Advance planning and budgeting of purchase functions, involving cost estimation, contract
negotiations & finalization for purchase of all parts, raw material.
 Responsible for Evaluating & negotiating with vendors for price & various other terms & conditions
and finalizing the same to meet the requirements.
Development Activity:-
 New Component Development & Alternate Development.
 Identifying supplier for alternate as well as new development based on Quality, Cost, Delivery &
Development ratings.
 Time study of development activity, preparation & monitoring of development plan in coordination
with supplier. Ensuring timely development & implementation of new projects.
 Coordination with regular supply chain to incorporate design change.
 Allocating vendor for new projects & ensuring timely development of new project components.
 Localization of import parts.
Vendor Management:-
 Assessing performance of the vendors based on various criteria’s such as QCDD.
 Carrying out vendor localization for curtailing costs of materials as well as negotiating the terms of
credit with vendors as well as the cost of material required.
 Strengthening existing vendor source & developing alternate suppliers.
 Negotiating & assessing the performance of the vendors, based on various criteria such as prices,
quality of materials & improvement, rate, timely delivery, etc.
Strategic Sourcing/ Procurement/ VAVE:-
 Managing the overall procurement of critical components which are being used in different plants of
the group.
 Analysis of supplier capacities & future product requirement.
 Defining share of business between vendors for particular product categories (based on quality, cost,
proximity etc.) & monitoring the same.
SAP R/3-MM Module & System Development:
 Worked as SAP R/3 Plant Coordinator in Corporate Materials.
 Responsible for maintaining the SAP Activities.
 Setting the Organization structure for MM module –Settings of MM Enterprise structure- Plants,
Storage Location, Purchase Organization, and Item Categories & Document Types for purchasing
documents- Purchase Requisitions, RFQs, and Purchase Orders.
 Creation of Material Masters, Info Records, Source List, Purchase Requisition, Request for Quotation
(RFQ), Maintain Quotation,
 Setting up Release Procedures for Purchase Order, Pricing Procedure, Purchase Requisition
Configured and Created / Maintained, Creation of Contracts, Outline Agreements, Scheduling
Agreements, Quota Arrangements, Delivery Schedules, Maintain Condition Records with Plant /
Materials / Vendors.
 Creation of Imported Material Purchase Orders with reference to Manufacture Part number (MPN).
 Configuration of Material valuation -- Also incorporated Split Valuation for raw materials, Physical
Inventory.
 Generating & Handling the all the MM-Module related Reports.
