2. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
•Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is unwanted noise or
interference in an electrical path or circuit caused by an
outside source.
•It is also known as radio frequency interference. EMI can
cause electronics to operate poorly, malfunction or stop
working completely.
•EMI can be caused by natural or human-made sources.

4. Conducted And Radiated Noise
•Conducted noise is the noise that is transmitted
along with signals through power supply lines,
signal lines and trace patterns on printed circuit
boards.
• Radiated noise is the noise that travels through
space and arrives as unwanted electromagnetic
waves.

5. Electromagnetic And Electrostatic
•Electromagnetic fields can be defined as the
combination of electric and magnetic field.
•Electrostatics can be referred to as a branch of
physics that studies current free charge distribution.

6. Common Impedance Coupling
•Common-impedance coupling occurs when
two or more circuits share a common ground
and is the result of a shared impedance in a
shared ground path.

8. Methods Of Elimination And Minimization Of
Interference And Noise.
1. Keep the signal wires short.
2. Keep the wires away from electrical machinery.
3. Use twisted together wires.
4. Use differential inputs to remove noise common the both
wires.
5. Use an integrating A-D converter to reduce mains
frequency interference.
6. Filter the signal.
