GETTING A STUDENT VISA FOR MALAYSIA
1. ELECTRONIC VISA
APPROVAL LETTER
(eVAL)
o The processing time
of eVAL can be up to
2 months
o Once your eVAL is
ready, you can
download it from the
EMGS website
3. STUDENT PASS (STUDENT VISA)
o Attend a medical screening after arriving in Malaysia.
o Submit your passport, eVAL, Single Entry Visa and a Letter of Health Endorsement to UPM.
o UPM gets the Student Pass for you from EMGS. The processing time is 2-4 weeks.
o Student Pass is a multiple entry visa that needs to be cancelled at the end of the semester
