ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Single-source shortest path (AWS, Hadoop, EMR, S3) :
Implemented Breadth First Search (BFS) using Map Reduce on
twitter dataset having 200 million nodes comprising of 5 GB.
Proved the claim for Six degree of Separation theorem.
Web Project Fitness Plus (MEAN) : Developed a website which
provides fitness related information, viz. exercises, equipments
and nutrition details. Users can follow/unfollow workouts,
comment on exercises, and manage their dashboard.
Dynamic Memory Allocator (C) : Designed Dynamic storage
memory allocator for malloc, realloc and free. Used Buddy
allocation for splitting and coalescing.
Mini-DMTCP (C) : Created a mini-DMTCP that creates
checkpoint image of running process which can be restored in
case of process failure.
Fault-tolerant DMTCP coordinator (zookeeper) : Integrated
zookeeper service in DMTCP so workers could connect to
master coordinator(elected through leader election) on failure
of current coordinator.
Object Recognition in Images (Data Mining) : Working on
Object Recognition System that can accurately classify images
using Convolutional Neural Network.
Information Retrieval in Search Engines (Python) : Designed a
custom web crawler for focused crawling over Wikipedia pages
in cost-effective time. Implemented the iterative Page rank
algorithm on a collection of 183,811 web documents.
Multi-process communication (C) : Computed solution for
exponential function using a master-worker architecture. Used
select, poll and epoll system calls.
